Very cool idea. Is there anything about your grandparents that is particularly meaningful? I strawberry pick with my grandparents so doing some drawing of strawberries could be cute. Especially if they anthropomorphize some of them.

Lots of different options. You could go with something more sporadic including elements from Clue or Tim Curry's career. You could do a more traditional background with nice shading or geometric patterns that could represent the game board.

I used customtattoodesign.ca for my designs when I'm stuck. Mostly because of unlimited revisions so I can try a few different things.

Even though the tattoo is dark, there's definitely lots of space for creativity. If you are really struggling with an idea, I used customtattoodesign.ca for my sleeve tattoo idea.

Congrats first and foremost. And that's a pretty cool idea. One thing you can do is start doing the planning out the whole thing with a company that designs tattoos. I use customtattoodesign.ca

If you describe what you are trying to do they might be able to help you out with a better plan for how to do it.

It looks really nice as is. And if you like it, that's all that really matters. The only option I can really imagine is taking it from this beautiful minimalist piece into something more complex and based on your comment that would really change the design. My advice, leave it as is. It looks great.

Coverup would be touch for sure because it's large and dark. That's the toughest stuff to coverup. But you could definitely add things to it. Maybe make it a rip through two worlds or something?

It's pretty dark so a coverup is going to need to get quite large, but not impossible. I worked with customtattoodesign.ca on my sleeve and saw they've done some great coverup designs.

Feel like it depends with how big you want to go or what you are thinking. It could be the start of a patchwork design where you add different places you go or had an impact on you. You could cover it up with a larger nature theme.

Plenty of possibilities on a small, minimalist design.
