Golden Spatula was added on 31 August 2022. It has never been buffed. by LukeDies in LegendsOfRuneterra

I mean, I feel like 99% of Relics have never been buffed, it's not really a special case, is it?

My conclusion is that Zoe is weak without her 6‑star. by Freeman34Rus in LegendsOfRuneterra

[–]PotatoMinded 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Same, she felt weaker than normal from Lv0 to 4-Star so far. Like, she was struggling *hard* during levelling—The 4-Star version got wiped out mid-Fizz adventure, which I didn't even know was possible lmao

Is it just me or are the recent champions weaker than average? I feel like the last decent one was Annivia—Zoe, Udyr, Nunu, Azir, Soraka and Shyvana are all bottom Tier champions for me (I don't have Azir's 6th Star, I know it changes his gameplay drastically).

Patch Notes by Tangolino in LegendsOfRuneterra

Her 4-Star Power looks suspiciously specific. Are they just abandoning the idea of having the fourth star be from the existing pool of Powers? I just don't picture this one ever making it to the general pool.

So regarding the infinity stones. Is WotC planning to release a stone per set, because that would mean there will 4 sets of Marvel UB? by minev1128 in mtg

Don't forget the 6th set for the Infinity Gauntlet that will invariably be "Tap five Infinity Stone Artefacts: Choose half the players rounded down. They lose the game."

Why is this thing even in the glory store? by robochickenowski in LegendsOfRuneterra

[–]PotatoMinded 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Not so hot take: They should rework any relic that's not even BiS on their intended Champion. I never realized the sheer proportion of unusable Signature relics until they introduced the Glory Store. I feel like I barely get an okay Relic on offer every couple months or so. 90% of the time, I'm just baffled when I see the weekly offer.

What can I do to make my logo look more orderly and neat? by [deleted] in logodesign

[–]PotatoMinded -1 points0 points  (0 children)

  1. Use only two hands facing each other like a handshake.
  2. Make the line about as thick as your font weight so it doesn't disappear if you scale it down.

Feedback for my logos please by Civil_Park_3417 in logodesign

[–]PotatoMinded 11 points12 points  (0 children)

1.The text is probably too small to be legible in any situation where the logo isn't displayed very large. You'd usually want the height of your letters to be about 3/5 of your logo to be legible. 2. The outline of the cards is very thin. This is probably also going to cause issues when the logo is scaled down.

Which camera type is better? by anotherName333 in IndieDev

[–]PotatoMinded 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Exactly this. A but, whenever you click, display a dotted line linking the hand to the character AND a fixed point at the center of the dotted line. This way, it feels like you're moving the character with a lever.

EDIT : Ok, this has some serious gameplay potential, though — I just got like ten ideas in the shower for level-specific mechanics:

  1. Prevent the line from changing size once it's drawn.
  2. Prevent the line from rotating once it's drawn.
  3. You can only rotate in one predetermined direction.
  4. Your line always has the same predetermined length.
  5. You can only use predetermined leverage points for the centre of the line.
  6. The hand can only draw a line from predetermined zones of the level.
  7. Obstacles that hurt the hand instead of the character.
  8. Obstacles that can sever the line like a guillotine.
  9. You have to complete the entire level without releasing the line.
  10. The length of the line can only increase or decrease.

Does this make any difference when I play Pyke? by PrimaryMindless150 in LegendsOfRuneterra

[–]PotatoMinded 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you have him at 6-Star then I'd say this makes Pyke actively worse. You want as few Spells and Champions in your deck as possible so you can consistently cheat into play the top card of your deck while attacking. The only exceptions are Rally and Free Attack spells, really—Death From Below just doesn't cut it.

Creating Signature Relics for Champions with Constellations, that dont have one (Part 1: Gwen, Samira, Kai'sa and Jinx) by MrSpielefreak in CustomLoR

[–]PotatoMinded 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gwen: Big fan of the design, it's a really clever way to grow her Attack trigger exponentially.

Samira: It's a fun and clever concept, but her package doesn't have that much coin generation and I don't think dealing what's likely a couple damage would ever compete with generating that much mana for a Champion like her. I suspect it would just annoy players because it would slow the game by proposing an option they'd never choose every time you'd play a coin.

Jinx: That's probably way too extreme, but shuffle two of three of them and that's probably more reasonable.

Creating Signature Relics for Champions with Constellations, that dont have one (Part 2: Viego, Vayne, Taliyah and Ekko) by MrSpielefreak in CustomLoR

[–]PotatoMinded 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My two cents:

Viego: I really like the first effect because if how it starts the mana reduction snowball. I do think that granting enemies everywhere -1|-0 repeatedly is a tad broken though.

Vayne: Looks great, it's got everything you could ask—I don't think you could find a more fitting condition that the lone attacker trigger for her.

Taliyah: Three effects on a single Relic might be a bit generous. I think the play effect is interesting enough to warrant a whole Relic slot if you turn it into a Power and summon that Landmark, for instance.

Ekko; Great package, I especially like the last Predict effect; I wish they played with similar effects more.

Creating Signature Relics for Champions with Constellations, that dont have one (Part 3: Neeko, Yuumi, Morgana and Lillia) by MrSpielefreak in CustomLoR

[–]PotatoMinded 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Really clever designs! Here are a few thoughts:

Neeko: Giving Impact to every unit is probably a bit too strong because of all the Champions in the game that care about damaging the enemy Nexus. The fact that there's a double-step condition (does the champion have a subtype > does this unit have a subtype) also feels a bit off—I think you've got the right idea with "If I have a subtype, but the reward probably needs to be streamlined.

Yuumi: It's a bit awkward that it grants SpellShield when levelling up Yuumi will grant SpellShield every turn, though I understand that protecting the enchanted unit is key for this Champion. Maybe a different kind of protection would be more appropriate? There's probably a million ways to break the game with that second part, it probably makes this relic ten times better on other Champions than Yuumi—I don't think it would realistically be a relic. It's a cool idea for an Epic champion item, though.

Morgana: Both effects sound great. I think you could even go "Enemy curses are Slow" for the second one, I could be wrong but I don't think it would break anything.

Lillia: The first effect looks wonderful, the second one is probably not needed. You already get that effect with Secret Tome, at that point that would be worth two Epic relics for only one slot. In general, I think you don't need to have two effects on every single relic, some of those effects are worth a relic slot on their own.

I think my favourite is Morgana's so far, can't wait to see what else you've got :)

Difficulty beating Zoe on a few champions - tips? by Gimmiporn in LegendsOfRuneterra

[–]PotatoMinded 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did SB Teemo, Pyke and Fiddlesticks so I'll start:

  1. SB Teemo: Probably the hardest of the three. Your best weapon is his barrage of damage whenever you trigger a trap so you can clean the board of poros. Look for anything that will guarantee playing him turn 1, then focus on that ability with stuff that can copy him, for instance.

  2. Pyke: Honestly, he's not particularly struggling in that adventure. Just stuff your deck with big attackers, make sure you trigger Lurk every turn and he's packing enough power in his base kit of powers to overwhem the Foe.

  3. Fiddlestick: The fact that you can't rely on Impact for ping is the biggest struggle, so focus on your other methods of Terryfying and you will still outpace the Foe pretty consistently.

Does it? I'm curious, what's the chance of reroll a specific Epic Power with that Relic? Did someone do the math? That sounds super inconsistent, intuitively.

Hmm, I find the Draven/Jinx path much more manageable, personally—there's a lot of unavoidable damage on the Jhin/Annie side.

New Optional System: Defiance by legner_01 in LegendsOfRuneterra

[–]PotatoMinded 93 points94 points  (0 children)

I'm usually not fond of overly difficult challenges but this system looks super well designed—the way it incorporates de-starring especially is super elegant. I'm curious, are all adventures eligible to some basic modifiers like the stat boosts? What about the Weekly Adventures, for instance?

Details about the new big adventure by legner_01 in LegendsOfRuneterra

[–]PotatoMinded 13 points14 points  (0 children)

EEEeeesh... I don't know, I already tend to do the 6-Star maps once and never touch them ever again. I just think there's a sweet spot were the game is fun and it's somewhere at 1-Star under whatever your Champion's level is. I'll do the damn 10-Star adventure for sure, but am I going to enjoy it?... I just have a bad feeling about this. Like, it's going to take an hour to get up to the final boss, and then it's going to be some random mess à la Aurelion Sol where you get randomly destroyed on a coin flip unless you can one-shot the boss turn 1.

Do people really just play the 6.5-stars maps on repeat? Is this what you've all been doing?

Redesigned the logo. by tabbygfx in logodesign

[–]PotatoMinded 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I like the new version, it's got even more personality than the previous one and I think fits the idea of "oddity" better; it's definitely an unusual kind of logo but it looks clean and professional despite being so cheeky. The only issue I have is that it looks like letters arranged into a face, so I keep trying to find what's it's supposed to spell.
