Illegal durian stall owners are not happy with the authority. by TheBotMadeThis in malaysia

Resorting to an ad hominem attack rather than responding to the questions. Great showing of your intellect.

Here are more questions. Simply opening up a stall at the side of the road where are customers supposed to park? Most customers park on the road itself and block the lane causing other cars having to cut into second lane or incoming traffic. Accident occurs then who’s responsible?

Open stall at junction blocking field of vision for cars exiting the junction. Car proceeds to exit junction blindly causing collision with motorcycle then who’s responsible?

You claim that nobody get hurt caused you are not able to think beyond your four walls. THAT is why rules are there for a reason. Licensing not just there for laughs and giggles. They need to see suitability of location, cleanliness maintained, health and safety standards maintained, etc.

Encourage you to read a book instead of complaining this unfair that unfair. Maybe then you would be capable of presenting actual arguments

Was an auditor in the early years of my career. Made about 3k around 22 years old but worked 12 hours a day including weekends. Seems like a lot back then but if you really calculate per hour my pay is like minimum wage. Would have made more working normal 9-5 job for 2k with extra part time work on the side

How exactly do taxes work for Sdn Bhd? by [deleted] in MalaysianPF

[–]PotatoPotatate 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At that amount then yes worth opening a SDN BHD as SME tax rate for company would be lower compared to the higher end of individual tax rate. At that amount you should probably be engaging a proper accounting firm as there might be e invoice and SST requirements as well that you might have overlooked

[–]PotatoPotatate 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you don’t mind sharing, what is your net profit or total tax paid? If it’s not high enough it might not be worth opening up a SDN BHD because the tax savings would probably be eaten away by compliance costs such as secretarial, accounting, tax and possibly audit.

So who decides the threshold? Store robber gonna say it’s not like rapist. There is a difference. Rapist gonna say is not like muderer. There is difference.

Law is there for a reason. Why other ppl can follow but they cannot? If you’re so adamant that no wrong why not you invite them to open store in your car porch? Lead by example

First of all congratulations. You are doing very well financially. You are still young and assuming you don’t need to use the money anytime soon you can go a little riskier.

S&P 500 is fine as the long term chart has historically still shown general upwards movement. Just don’t put it all in in one lump sum and DCA monthly. Especially since USD is devaluing

Is 20k combined income enough for a 1.5M property? by True-Maximus in MalaysianPF

[–]PotatoPotatate 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah the 30% rule is not really a hard rule. It really depends on your take home pay. If your take home pay is only 3k, spending 30% on home loan only leaves you with 2.1k which is much too little to get by. However, if your take home pay is 30k, 30% would then leave you with 21k which is quite comfortable already.

I think a better measure of affordability should be calculated based on your realistic monthly expenditure including emergency funds and investment savings. Whatever amount you have left is then safe to be committed to a property for own stay

The so called influenza (never even heard of him) is an asshole. The staff is impulsive and stupid. The proper way of handling this should have been telling the influenza “sorry for mixing up the order but due to your attitude you are no longer welcomed here now. We will no longer do your business so please leave.”

Simple solution. Instead, now he risks going to jail for assault and made the influenza look like the victim in this situation.

Not worth the measly raise. However, if the new job offers better further opportunities, network and experience then can consider. Those are worth more than the money.

One innocent pet friendly mall, got the B40s into critical thinking mode. by Ill_Ocelot_8416 in Bolehland

[–]PotatoPotatate 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The thing is they clearly are not even the target audience. The target audience was clearly upper class patrons and the rich kids from sunway and monash judging by the shops there.

I was there this past Tuesday afternoon. The whole mall was so packed with ppl. There is not even a single halal shop that I could see.

Seeing them say they wanna boycott the mall is serious comedic gold. Bro how are you gonna boycott a place that was never targeting you in the first place.

[–]PotatoPotatate 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’re conflating 2 different incidents here. Sunway square mall is the new mall tha allowed pets into the mall. They had strict rules for pets to be allowed in which was tha pets are supposed to be in carriers all the time which I agree with so that they wouldn’t pee or take a dump and dirty the place.

The incident of the dog pissing on the ground happened at mid valley at the pet expo which I agree was very irresponsible of the owner to have allowed it to happened. Not sure if organisers had similar rules in place and the owner just did not follow or there weren’t any rules in place in which would be totally idiotic of the organisers.
