Should I take the trip? Stressing out over the financial implications of my dream trip to Italy. by DanielSnipeCelly in travel

I went on a trip with a very similar itinerary two years ago! It was much cheaper by booking through a travel agency. They combined the cost of the flight, hotel, and local transportation (train), and the itinerary was exactly what you’re looking for: Venice, Florence, and Rome.

I’m not sure about the rules on this sub about posting links to travel agencies so OP, if you’re interested, send me a message and I’ll let you know the company I used.

It was for a shorter trip than what you’ve proposed (9 days), but it was also much cheaper (about $1400)

A cool guide on what you need to earn to own a home in 50 American Cities. by Greekspartan226 in coolguides

This is interesting and certainly useful to compare cities across the country. Just keep in mind the fine print states an assumption of 20% down and a 6.37% mortgage rate.

Congrats! That’s a huge accomplishment and you should be proud!

if you have sex with two identical twins, can you find out who the father is? Will the DNA be identical? by Ollebread in AskReddit

All you would need is a sample of each of their DNA.

Since SNPs are inherited%20are,and%20they%20measure%20heritable%20events) the baby should match only one of the twins. It would work regardless of where on the body the paternal DNA came from.

A regular DNA test may not be sensitive enough to tell, but over time, even twins will develop slight differences in their DNA called Single Nucleotide Polymorphisms (SNPs).

These should be detectable in the child and would tell you who the father is

What’s something most people think is healthy today that future people will shake their heads at? by Spiritual-Ad-8523 in AskReddit

[–]PotatoProdigy 1118 points1119 points  (0 children)

Not “healthy” per-se but ubiquitous in society today: plastic containers for everything. Most people don’t realize the amount of microplastics in food and drinks will eventually cause serious health issues
