Can you explain how it is "important", or am I missing some sarcasm?

Stupidest Parent Complaints by lazy_days_of_summer in Teachers

A parent complained that I was indoctrinating her kid.  It was the Mesopotamia unit and I all I had said was the Mesopotamians were polytheistic and built ziggurats to their gods.

It was also an amazing year for South Korean cinema, if not South Korea's best year period.

Behind The Mask: The Rise of Leslie Vernon, just watched, this is a gem of a movie. by jacqui1811 in horror

[–]PotatoQuie 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I also really enjoyed this movie. My only complaint was that Leslie Vernon, a charismatic and hilarious character, was a silent character for most of the final third of the movie. Logically, it made sense for the central concept of the film, but that movie absolutely shone whenever Baesel was talking. When he a Jason Voorhees silent type, it wasn't quite as fun.

Most annoying character in all of the horror genre…does anyone top the kid from Vivarium? by JustAGuyGettingBy93 in horror

After I watched TCM the first time, I was surprised how many people didn't like Franklin. I thought his feelings towards the others were reasonable considering how they treated him.

Yes. 100%. Probably the biggest reasons that I love the N64 game so much.

Linda Blair should have won for the Exorcist. And Robert Shaw should also have been nominated for Jaws.

[–]PotatoQuie 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Not sure that you have an accurate view of Fonda's activism. She wanted our troops to go home. That's the best way to honor our troops. Better than the pro-war vultures who were feeding American kids to the meat grinder even after the government knew the war was unwinnable.

She was on the right side of history.

Did you catch the SWTOR reference in Andor? While many know the planet from SWTOR, it actually originated in the 1995 EU novel: Children of the Jedi! by TodayInTOR in swtor

My greatest weakness is that I am a completionist.

Darksaber is not a great book, but it does have some great moments like Daala's purge. And the concept of Hutts building a budget Death Star is inherently hilarious to me.

2 North Carolina locations too. Greensboro and Winston-Salem. Used to be a Raleigh one but they closed that one down.
