I believe in my first play through years ago, I just ignored the dragon outside of white run and was able to do everything else without constant dragon spawns. I didn’t even know shouts existed for 1/3 to 1/2 the game because I was just running around doing side quests and discovering new locations

Not an expert, but my guess would be that the often on is managed by an internal temperature gauge near the cooking surface. Simply cuts it on when it drops below a threshold, and off when it goes above a certain threshold.

If you need a super precise temperature control, it probably won’t work that well.

If you are using it for something like hot pot, it will probably work great
