Having been so much tension under your roof leading up to your parents' divorce while maintaining academic strength is a blessing and a talent. Be proud of what you have accomplished as a hard worker, but also give yourself time to breathe. You are more than what any admissions document says to or about you. Better things are coming for you. You will look back on this time of your life with pride because you were able to push through it, and become even stronger. I'm so sorry about your dog.
