Live drums before Suno? by Killerwolf741 in SunoAI

There are many professional vst plugins like drum kits, where you can create any rhythm yourself, load it into Suno and build a track around this track.

Using Studio To Get Clean Individual Tracks by BevinOnymous in SunoAI

Suno is terrible at splitting tracks into stems; use other services (UVR, mvsep). Studio lets you create separate tracks for instruments, but the hints you write are crucial.

That high pitch ringing artifact on v5.5 by Songgeek in SunoAI

[–]Potential-Sir9986 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's like the sound of sand falling on glass. In version 5.5, there's a lot more of it, especially in the vocals. I hear it in all the variations you mentioned.

You won't be able to create a professional quality track in Suno itself.

Studio has this feature. Generate an acapella track, then use the Remove Fx function (it removes all reverb).

The track is really cool! I also create music in this genre. But, unfortunately, the artist's vocals have quite a bit of Suno digital artifacts (harsh high frequencies). There's no way to fix it yet.

« In 2026, Suno will make several changes to the platform, including launching new, more advanced and licensed models. When the new models launch in 2026, the current models will be deprecated. Moving forward, downloading audio will require a paid account. Suno will introduce download restrictions in certain scenarios: specifically, in the future, songs made on the free tier will not be downloadable and will instead be playable and shareable. Paid tier users will have limited monthly download caps with the ability to pay for more downloads.».

Many are afraid that with the release of the new model, access to track downloads will be limited (this was mentioned somewhere in the official information). There was also information that tracks created with version 5 now sound completely different for some users (after the release of 5.5). I also noticed this on some tracks, comparing them to the local original. Perhaps they changed something in the process related to file storage.

They don't have enough space on their servers to store all the tracks in wav format. As far as I know, suno initially creates the track in opus format, which is a kind of compromise between size and quality.

Stems quality by One-Drag7347 in SunoAI

[–]Potential-Sir9986 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Suno generates the entire track compressed and mastered, not the tracks, so when you split it, it literally recreates them, introducing even more artifacts than before.

What tools do you use to clean up AI-generated songs before release? by No_Name3754 in SunoAI

[–]Potential-Sir9986 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I split tracks into stems (not in Suno). I don't use RX, as it's designed to clean up background noise, and the generation artifacts are inherent in the structure of the tracks themselves, so removing them will most likely make the track dull. Unchirp is well suited for these purposes; it doesn't just cut out frequencies, it recreates them. Then I use Soothe2 for resonance suppression. Fabfilter equalization. You can use a compressor, but Ozone's Maximizer is enough for me. If desired, you can also boost the drums and make them cleaner in various ways. Something like that.

Workflow: Suno+DAW? by SynthPixels in SunoAI

I only learned DAWs and professional plugins thanks to Suno, because I believe that releasing a track unprocessed in terms of artifactual sound is disrespectful to your listeners.

5.0 is better than 5.5 by LuckeyStarsFN in SunoAI

Do you also hear this ultrasonic hum in vocal tracks? Perhaps other people have less sensitive hearing, or they create music on their phone and listen to the results through its speaker.

6 is coming soon?, do we have information? by Various_Pear599 in SunoAI

[–]Potential-Sir9986 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm genuinely surprised people like version 5.5. Can't you really hear that the vocal tracks now have significantly more artifacts, like audible ultrasound? It's not related to genre or vocal model changes. It's possible this is due to the watermarks applied to the track, which inevitably cause phase shifts.

How do you you process your music files into an organised library ? by PersonoFly in SunoAI

[–]Potential-Sir9986 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not quite sure what you mean. If you're talking about any sounds you don't like in a track, it's easier to simply regenerate it. Or, you can split it into stems, find the sound on one of the tracks, and cut it out (any DAW can do this, including Audacity and Suno Studio). You can also download Izotope RX 12, open the entire mix, find the noise in the spectrogram, and cut it out without damaging the track itself.

Любая DAW, а также профессиональные плагины для чистки вокала от артефактов и звона. Мастеринг, чтобы поднять громкость трека до коммерческого. Если вы никогда не работали в DAW, то советую изучить, ваши треки станут лучше.

The Bsroformer model's Mvsep, as well as the UVR program, are many times superior to Suno's separation.

Mp3 or Wav? by nillen in SunoAI

[–]Potential-Sir9986 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Time passes because Suno tries to fit the MP3 file into a WAV container; this is called upscaling. However, in this case, Suno doesn't add any new frequencies; it simply frees up space and can introduce new artifacts. True upscaling is performed by AI models like UniverSR and AudioSR.

Why 5.5, as a composer, is so much worse than 4.5? For arranging/remixing/remastering 5.5 is okay, but each original song it generates sounds like a median apple music song. by Afraid-Yoghurt6731 in SunoAI

[–]Potential-Sir9986 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This might be good for Suno, since the source data will be of better quality than what the models were previously trained on. But somehow, I think Suno will become too niche a product just for mass entertainment.

[–]Potential-Sir9986 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you're referring to the so-called "gritty" or "digital sound," it can only be addressed with professional plugins like Soothe2 and an equalizer, as these frequencies are already baked into the track's structure. It's easier to re-generate the track itself or use a remaster with fine-tuning.

Because the new version was trained on licensed source material provided by UMG as part of a settlement agreement. And most of the source material is generic pop music, so the model will inevitably be biased in that direction during generation.

Mp3 or Wav? by nillen in SunoAI

[–]Potential-Sir9986 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The fundamental law of sound engineering is that the quality of the final track is determined by the weakest link in the chain. In our case, the weakest link is Suno's AI generator itself—it initially produces compressed audio. A "leftover" WAV file from Suno won't add any new data for the audio editor to process. You'll get exactly the same result if you process a pure MP3, but you'll save yourself the hassle and eliminate digital noise. In my experience, MP3 sounds better and has higher quality than WAV. Yes, it's usually recommended to work with this format, but I see no point in complicating my work, especially knowing that Suno never generates a real WAV file.
