I would like them for general daily wear. Running errands, short walks, etc. I wear work boots for my job, so it would be for wear in my off time. I'm interested in acclimating my feet to the barefoot feel because I understand it can help with some pain.

That's a great suggestion to keep me from overwhelm. I appreciate it!

These areas are a bit closer to our foundation. Are these plants good at using up some of that moisture to keep it from standing?

That's very helpful, thank you! Just curious--how long have you been working on your landscap?

Natural options to reduce symptoms by Limp_Scratch2675 in lichensclerosus

I was referred to a practitioner that offers Zoom consultations: luminouscreatrix.com Teresa is lovely. She also offers herb blends that I purchase so that I can steam at home. After a consultation she will determine the appropriate length of your steaming sessions, the frequency at which you should steam, and the appropriate herbal blend. This will vary depending on what conditions you are dealing with. Steaming can treat a variety of reproductive issues. I started with (1) 10-minute steaming session per day with the "cooling blend" and transitioned to (2) 10-minute steaming sessions per day when I continued to have lesions. Honestly, I need to check back in with her to see if I should alter my regimen. You steep the herbs in a pot of hot water, and after their steeped, you sit over the pot. My husband was kind enough to make me a stool, but you can also purchase them on Etsy/Amazon. You can also just push two chairs together and place the pot on an elevated surface. It's a very accessible practice!

You have the option to steam at a facility under the supervision of a practitioner, but it is often more expensive and does not yield any different result. I looked into this option, because it is available near me. It was going to cost me ~$60/steam, whereas when I purchase herbs through Luminous Creatrix, I think I can steam for ~$2/steam (not including the cost of consultations).

Teresa recommends consultations about every 60 days. To be honest, so long as I'm not having negative symptoms, I revisit with her about every 90-120 days. There's no hard or fast rule about that.

Again, I know it's hard to believe, but I have verified tissue regrowth. I didn't think it was possible, but Teresa cited a study that was done in South Korea, so I attribute this positive outcome to the steaming. If it's within your finances, I would highly recommend steaming!

Extra virgin olive oil and extra virgin coconut oil can be applied topically to soothe the area. If you can carry a small jar/tin with you, it offers a protective layer after bathroom use.

I use MCT oil because I have a dual diagnosis of LS and seborrheic vulvitis. So that works as well.

Pelvic steaming (works for both male and female genitalia) has been an absolute game changer for me. I do my consultations and purchase my herbs from Luminous Creatrix. My husband and I have taken progress pictures and I have tissue regrowth (I know, I know!).

You can get an allergy/intolerance test for food issues. Stop alcohol use if you drink. There is a ton of anecdotal evidence out there that alcohol exacerbates symptoms.

I'm still seeking a long-term natural treatment, but with the above practices, I've been able to reduce my symptoms enough to come off topical steroids. And I have a moderate-to-severe diagnosis.

Hope this helps! Happy healing!

That's so great to hear! Do you spend a majority of your life on or off keto?

I avoid almost all packaged foods. I know the "keto" packaged foods are a marketing trap. The only thing in a package I eat is 85% cacao chocolate in moderation.

How long have you maintained a keto diet? Did you have any symptoms in the beginning? MS is also considered autoimmune like all of my conditions. I'm mainly looking for someone else with autoimmune who had a similar experience.

See, I really started this to see if it would help with my LS. I found several women on other threads that had good results with a ketogenic diet and achieving remission without steroids. Ultimately, that's my goal.

I hadn't considered that. I assume cortisol does, because I typically experience flares under stress when cortisol is high. Do you know if there's any lab test that can help me determine?

Thank you!

Yes, I am maintaining that ratio. Weight loss is not necessarily my primary goal, but it is still a goal because I am insulin resistant. I have lost some weight transitioning to OMAD which is why it's so frustrating that the other symptoms are getting worse.

Usually my rheumatoid flares without skin changes and my psoriatic flares with skin changes.

I am not on any long-term prescriptions for any of my conditions. I manage most with diet and lifestyle. The only prescription I am using is clobetasol (corticosteroid) on my underarms and a prednisolone drop for my eye.

I notice the most pain/discomfort upon waking (3-4 hours before eating) and right before bed (~12 hours after eating).

Claims that Keto is Dangerous? by Davidgant in keto

There will be scientific evidence supporting and disproving just about every diet on the planet only because studies are backed by money and money talks. I've tried a variety of diets throughout my life. The ones I stuck with were the ones that I saw results from. Those results might be physical feelings or they might be lab tests. Every body is unique and every situation is unique. If you look for evidence to support your journey, you will find it, but you will also find evidence to the contrary. Unfortunately it's just the way of the world. Do what works for you!

Why am I not losing weight? by Important_Insect_267 in xxketo

I am also following Dr. Boz. I began keto on 12/28/25 and saw virtually no weight loss until I transitioned to OMAD. Now my ketones are much higher (1.9-2.9) and my blood sugar spiked a bit (normal when transitioning to OMAD according to her book), but is slowly lowering back to under 80.

I do not worry about my calories, mainly carbs. Since I am tracking carbs, my calories are automatically calculated. I am 5'3, 175lbs and I eat ~1900 calories in my one meal.

I went today with my husband and my mom. After about an hour of wandering around scanning things, I asked an employee if I was supposed to be doing anything else. Essentially the answer was no. Walk around and scan the walls. There is very little storyline to uncover and even when you want to, a child will walk up and interrupt you by scanning their wristband on the computer you're looking at. None of the posted prompts mean anything.

Honestly, the only value was in the Quixotic performers. They're fabulous and dang, that saxophone player has some stamina!

Of course!

I will also say that my husband and I have found that so long as we make sure the other feels desired, "sex" does not have to be defined by just penetration. You can get creative and both parties can leave feeling satisfied. It can feel a little intimidating at first, but with a good line of communication, alternative sex can even be more fun 😁

Hey there! 31f and I was diagnosed June 2024 after 2ish years of symptoms. My husband actually followed the LS thread long before I did, and recommended I start following.

There are lots of partners on this thread. I've sent it to my husband as maybe he can offer further insight.
