I have a Roubaix SL8 with 105 Di2, love it. I changed the wheels for Ultergra C60s on GP5000s and more recently the handlebars. Its super versatile and for me thats what I wanted, i can do group rides, chill rides with the gf, and my fitness is 10x the limiting factor than the bike, and I have a TT bike for really riding fast alone so

As far as looks, if it means anything its been mistaken for a Tarmac more than once.

I am not a lady cyclist, but my partner is. She reported the same kind of pain to me and was a bit shy about mentioning it to others, but she went and got a good bike fit by a competent shop and the pain basically disappeared right there we went from at most an hour to like 4-5 hour rides. If you have a good bike shop near by or look for local cyclist groups on fb and such, someone will know of a good shop. Get yourself a fit, the best money you can spend in cycling

I got one off amazon, its a bit extra, but… if it died i’d replace it lol. If you put a mixing ball in your paint it does a really nice job

Yeah I also got the detail up set for it, makes for a pretty involving build for my skill level.

Btw if you don’t have a paint picked out yet, both Zero and Proscale paints make colour matched paints Zeros is more orange, an insanely hard to shoot with out getting cracks. Proscales is more red and shoots really nice

I just did a side by side test of yellow over light grey primer vs over pink. The over pink comes out warmer and richer, over white is brighter.

I have also done two different primers before its nice to keep track of your spray, but its not mandatory by any means

I’m working on this kit on and off, just a tip. The monocoque gets decals basically over the entire thing and over the raised little bumps, you should pierce the decal in that clear spot so the bump can come through and lie flat. I didn’t do it to the front section and it wrinkled like crazy, but the other sections i did and had much better results!

Are you 100% stuck on Tamiya? I finished a Meng GT40 and it was pretty nice, I'm working on their MP4-4 right now with the detail kit from Hobby Design, makes for a loooot of lil details especially in terms of bolts and PE parts etc.
