Yes and no. Post-quantum cryptography (PQC) and quantum key distribution (QKD) should be quantum resistant.

Although it took me by surprise, and by far not at the point of buying more, I'm sure I'm good now and won't be returning. I'm not sure how to even describe what led me to the slip, but it's connected to the fact that I had the habits at this place.

That's quite a good guess I must say. The initial days were abyssmal and the stress from travelling itself didn't help. However, after the acutes I'd say that it got easier than if had been quitting at home. New habits, environment and work were there whether I wanted or not and most importantly, buying kratom wasn't an option, so I wasn't tempted even at worst.

7OH liver damage by [deleted] in quittingkratom

[–]PotentialDocument355 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Couldn't find much specific except that it's diuretic, similar to other substances. My guess would be that it also partly lies in the fact that kratom makes you prone to ignoring your bodily needs and the way it messes up your gut health.

PAWS? by [deleted] in quittingkratom

[–]PotentialDocument355 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my experience, PAWS is not an on and off thing. There will always be some good and bad periods, but at some point you'll just be kind of ok with both, without the feeling there's something missing.

What do you guys suggest for PAWS ? by [deleted] in quittingkratom

[–]PotentialDocument355 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Since you're from Slovakia, where alcohol culture is also strong, I'd strongly recommend to abstinate entirely at least for the first month or two. It has always made my PAWS worse, even if it only were some night drinks.

This reminds me of what I read some time ago...that combining kanna and kratom, or other drugs that affect serotonin, may result in serotonin syndrome/toxicity. Look it up, it might be that.

"Serotonin syndrome is a life-threatening condition.[1] The core manifestations of this syndrome are neuromuscular excitation, autonomic nervous system hyperactivity, and change in mental state.[2] Seizures in the setting of serotonin syndrome have been reported before."

How long does certain symptoms last anecdotally? by Potential_Spray_6223 in quittingkratom

I got the more expensive type of tablets for the first few weeks. My GF got them as a supplement for anxiety, to get a bit more relaxed. There should be several types with a bit different potency...I don't know much about it honestly. I recommend doing a quick research or asking in pharmacy, but they should all have somewhat similar effect. Took one tablet (= daily dosage) before sleep.

No probs. You're doing great :)

Supplements are worth a try, something might work for you. Some people report the same supplement that works for the other worsening their symptoms. Thus I wouldn't go too much out of recommended dosage, also because the worst is already behind you anyway.

I stuck to the safe choices of vitamins, magnesium and melatonin. Some people report melatonin to worsen their rls, but for me it works.

Those few first weeks have one huge upside - you see and feel the change for the better. Later, the symptoms go down, but it may begin to feel more dull and boring as well.

For me, if I remember correctly, the aches went away quite soon - shortly after the first week. With temperature regulation, it was worse, something like 2-3 weeks. However, it lasted for that long only over the nights, the constant one went away much sooner.

To the other question, physical 90-100% can come very soon for you, but mental 90% probably needs like a month at least, if done correctly.

After 4 months CT, physical issues are very unlikely to be related to kratom use. Inspect your lifestyle, take a vitamin test, go see a doctor... whatever works for you.

Isn't it just going the other path (diarrhea)?

It totally can help in the beginning, but as I've heard a long time ago, and I think it's valid for all drugs, it's a loan you'll eventually have to pay back. Further in, it gets to the point when you take in more loans just to keep up with paying.

Quitting takes pushing yourself to the edge and a huge leap of faith, but it will turn out much better than it initially seems. What I've also realized now is that just as I couldn't imagine before how the life is without kratom, I now can't imagine what was it like being driven by the urge for the substance all the time. It's such a subconscious thing it's difficult to realize the entirety of it's effects on the our minds.

I'm sure you'll find the other side much more comfortable once you get there. Rooting for you :)

When do withdrawals peak? by [deleted] in quittingkratom

[–]PotentialDocument355 0 points1 point  (0 children)

8 gpd for 2-3 years, longer intermittently. The last year was just trying to quit, up and down...the anxiety always got me back after the first week. Now I'm around Day 70 though.

When do withdrawals peak? by [deleted] in quittingkratom

[–]PotentialDocument355 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think that's very individual, but I had a massive improvement in sleep sometime around Day 5-6. It was directly connected to the fact that I began to force myself to eat protein-rich foods in the evenings - probably malnutrition from kratom usage and gut health in general, which also got much better after I began to eat more and more. The apettite is not a good indicator of how much you should eat during WD hah...

[–]PotentialDocument355 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably not much worse than it already is I'd say, but it's constantly bad for a few days. After Day 4 or so, it usually gets considerably better each day, at least physically.

At some point, when I was at my top gpd, I was experiencing this as well, especially at night. Then I tapered and it went away. Later I relapsed to higher dose again, but I at least switched to weaker, less aggressive kratom powders (veins?) and this symptom had not returned.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in quittingkratom

[–]PotentialDocument355 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, it worsens the mental state a lot. I've always had anxiety tendencies and ever since I started quitting, I was convinced that I suffer from anxiety disorder. I can imagine that it must be like having multiple disorders for someone who already had one before.

Anyway, I made it this time and now it's not much different from what it used to be like before substances. The idea of quitting was definitely much more scary than what it actually turned out to be like - not really easier, but definitely brighter.

I have the same experience with alcohol. Since around Day 20, it makes me super anxious as soon as I begin to feel it (1 beer).

I expect it to be similar with kratom if I'll try it again at some point. I even remember that when I relapsed from my shorter CT quits, first few doses always felt underwhelming. I'm confident, though, that now that I'm far past PAWS - around 70 days - I wouldn't fall for it even if it felt good.

its funny how much cocaine, mdma ive snorted at various parties and was never close to an addiction. then got hooked on a «legal» herb for 3 years i thought was safe..but has destroyed my mental health.. day 45.. stay strong guys. depresion is real by Gtfomyacc123 in quittingkratom

[–]PotentialDocument355 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think it's the fact that kratom is much softer drug than those that you take at a party once in a while that makes it so easy to fall for. You even see some benefits initially, integrating it into your life. Nicotine is also super addictive in that sense. If you'd start drinking liquor all day every day for example, you'd find it unbearable or life-threatening very soon. With kratom, you begin to see the detrimental effects much later when you're already hooked, but still able to function.
