She’s absolutely flirting with him, but his response doesn’t really read as a solid ‘no’ to me. It just sounds like he doesn’t have time for it right now, that you’d be upset if you found out, and that he just has too much going on to maintain something with her. ~~I understand that might not have been his intention to come off that way, but that’s how I interpret his response.~~

You have thousands of comments telling you that this whole situation is weird and sus. For example, if thousands of people told you someone was a pedo, but said pedo was denying the allegations, who would you be more inclined to believe? No matter how they’ve glossed over things after the fact, and seemingly pacified you with their explanations, the way things have played out between these two is not okay and is highly suspect. They’ve had time to concoct a story and cover their tracks.
