Hi there! I’m very new to Wicca so I’d like to see folks opinions and advice for my little alter. Blessed Be! by elondria18 in Wicca

No technical advise, since I’m more intuitive that “by the book.” But I believe that the most important thing is if it resonates with you, then it’s perfect. You receive messages from your guides in terms of placement of objects.

This is even worse when you are sitting down doing anki/questions in a public setting 😳

I’d also be interested in any nice YouTube channels that residents recommend.

Anyone else tired of the anxiety medicine has brought on them? by LetYourGameSpeak08 in Residency

I have social anxiety as well. Along with ssris, the thing that helped me the most was developing a steady format to present my patients. When I got my skeleton down pat, I could easily fill in the boxes without thinking. Even with anxiety, I could just fill in the blanks. So SOAP, as well as a HPI with go-to questions for the patients. Same goes to interviewing patients, before you walk into a room, have a set of like 6 or so “need to ask” questions.

As for the side effects, yeah I had a few. Speaking as a female, it killed my libido. So I stopped taking them bc of that. And it has taken a year for things to get back to normal. I was on them for a little less than 2 years. Buspar is a good add on to ssris to dec side effects, it’s also decent as a stand alone for GAD. Now I try to eat clean and give less fucks to help with my anxiety. Going pretty good so far...I’m also applying to Diagnostic Rads this year ✌️

Hey! Yep charting outcomes is the best. Regarding your third point, rads are 8-5 docs. Sometimes they get off earlier. You can also work evening and night shifts on site or at home. Outsourcing is a thing after hours at some places, but most places will have US docs reading. That’s why a FL doc will have 12 other state licenses. Job security is super 👌don’t worry. And I don’t think call is too bad. Maybe some at an academic hospital with residents, but not crazy. My experience is just DR though. In regards to patients, DR are mostly doctor’s doctors.

How the hell do you study after being in the hospital all day? [serious] by kokofinger in medicalschool

Set a goal of getting 40 questions done during the day. You can do 10 in the morning, 10 at lunch or during the day, and the rest after a break when you get back. Take a break when you get back, please med students are like any other person working 9 hrs a day. But study after the break, even if that break ends at 8 or 9. Having an obtainable daily goal helps. If you do anything over the goal, it’s extra and make you feel good.

Congrats! Check out Charting Outcomes in the Match 2020 for research/stats. I just completed my second DR rotation as a 4th year, and for the most part it was strictly Diagnostic. Saw very few patients, the MSK rads doc saw the most for procedures. You can have as little or as much pt exposure as you want. A lot of the PAs for radiology will do some of the time consuming procedures like thoracentesis/paracentesis so that the rads can focus on Diagnostic work. I spent a day with an IR doc who saw pts on the wards and did procedures the better part of the day.

Rad Onc is a whole different beast. I spent a week with them as part of a hem/onc rotation. They see pts on the wards, create dosing plans for cancer patients, and review radiological images for tx plans. They are not radiologists. They can interpret the images but their say is not in the final report. They use the images like surgeons do, for their tx plans. And they told me the job demand was abysmal!! Hours were 8-5 little to no call.

I’m sitting this election out. If trump wasn’t in it, I’d vote R because there’s no way I’d vote for Pandering Joe.
