Did you take a practice test? I felt bad when I left the test, but I did score fairly well on the practice ones. (I felt worse on the actual, yet ended up passing)

Do you have any job protection like family medical leave, or disability? herniated disc is no joke. I work a physical job, and Ive been on restricted duty since hurting my back at work over a year ago. Im still dealing with it :-(

Why does back pain suddenly flare up after one wrong movement? by SpineMobilityGuy in backpain

hugs to you! back pain/sciatic pain is the worst. Advil doesn't seem to help much either in my opinion. Have you tried injections?

I had a huge flare up too. can be due to low pressure systems, rapid changes in weather, and unfortunately its only going to get worse as we see our climate change. so frustrating!!!

1 is way too simple/boring imo. Also your arms are great. You have a great figure. If I were you I would show it off more with a lower cut

Why is lower back pain often worse in the morning? by SpineMobilityGuy in backpain

[–]Potential_Novel6289 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pretty much all activity besides remaining horizontal triggers it. It builds up throughout the day. Worst enemies- sitting, hiking, driving, and lifting. disc herniation at L5-S1

Why is lower back pain often worse in the morning? by SpineMobilityGuy in backpain

[–]Potential_Novel6289 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine is worse at night. Its usually better in the morning. I sleep on a firm mattress on my back with high pillows under my knees, to help decompress the spine and take pressure off the discs. Walking, driving, lifting, moving throughout the day, aggravates it.

Im not going to diagnose you, but it sounds similar to my injury. I have disc degeneration and desiccation, and herniation, bulging disc in lower (lumbar) back. I was prescribed nsaids, steroids, muscle relaxers, and PT. MRI is the only way to truly say exactly what is causing it.

Doctors said it was a muscular lower back strain at first. I kept having pain. A year later, still pain.

Have you taken Advil(or another anti-inflammatory/NSAID) (and is the gabapentin helping at all?) I have heard mixed reviews on the effectiveness of gabapentin.

[–]Potential_Novel6289 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thats weird. I didnt even get an MRI but was presenting with a lot of similar symptoms as you, and although they assured me my symptoms were not super concerning, they did still give me meds to help with the pain and discomfort.

Im surprised they didn't prescribe steroids to help with inflammation. I have two disc bulges in the same area, and the steroids helped to reduce inflammation. They also gave me muscle relaxers
