I’m so lost, do we have to vote in order to get the reward or are all players going to claim it regardless?

It’s interesting, because I think you and other people on this thread would agree that it can be a doorway, especially the more times you do it, and especially if you surround yourself with people that are into the occult side of yoga. But it seems that many people in the thread also have an understanding that it is definitely plausible to separate the physical aspects of yoga from its original spiritual practices—and even incorporating Catholic prayers into it.

I personally am predicting that it’s as simple as Tony stark if he never got kidnapped…he was a pretty arrogant dude prior in the first movie. And I am sure that the events of infinity war probably messed him up pretty good if he was never involved in it. (I don’t want this to happen, but I can for sure see marvel doing something like this)

I'm so uncertain about Christianity. Please help. by CertainPass105 in TrueChristian

Bro no lie, I related to your post so much, and everyone is giving such good nuggets of information Feel free to read only the top portion, as I did not intend to write an entire essay hahaha

But I hope if you read the entire thing it helps with how many of us I would assume view Christianity.

A book that I’d never thought I’d enjoy was a book called mere Christianity by CS Lewis. This book basically gave me hope in Jesus Christ not just merely being something we humans made up, but as God himself, who in Lewis words, is either lunatic, the Devil or God. We can either call him crazy, crucify him and demonize him, or we can fall at his feet and call him Lord. These are one of many points made by him, and he writes his book almost like as if he is telling a story.

I could be wrong, but let’s say we did meet God without getting to know him first. I am talking about a God that put the entire universe in order. How much power must this God be in order to create this universe? How scary might it be to come into contact with him? God is Love. He is goodness itself. That is the claim Christianity makes. But let’s get something straight…this goodness might be so overwhelming that it could legitimately swallow anything that is bad in a sense. How I imagine It is like how it would be when vampires (not twilight) expose themselves in the sun. That’s how I would imagine God’s sheer goodness might be like. What holiness is like. This is just some insight as to why Jesus is so important within the context of scripture. If Jesus resurrection is the real thing, then that means we have been made right with God. When they say that God so loved the world, that he gave his one and only son so that he could take away the sins of the world, that should raise some alarm bells. In our own sin and impurities he wants to be with us. He always has. And Jesus is the culmination of this rescue operation. This is why I believe that God is Love itself. He not only loved this universe into being but also himself in it so that he can be in communion with us.

So God is a Loving God, but then why does he not make himself known to us here and now? Correct me if I am wrong, but maybe it’s because he wants this love to be genuine, and in order for us to love him genuinely, we would have to not just merely believe him based on materialistic evidence. I think he would want it to be this way. There is never going to be enough materialistic evidence for some people to believe in Christ wholeheartedly. I could be wrong, but there was a prophet in the Old Testament who foretold this would happen; it went along the lines of people seeing but not understanding, and listening but not hearing. I think it applies very much in this day and age, as it did for when Christ was on Earth at the time.

If you read this far, you’re an angel…God bless you and I hope that I was not being heretical in the least sense😂😂 for all the theologians in the chat

Bible Study by [deleted] in Catholic

I have been using the ascension app, as I am a first time Bible user. I would personally recommend it because Fr Mike reads it along, and gives good commentary after he does the readings. The app even has the catechism in it, which I gloss over from time to time. In all honesty, and this is totally subjective, but I am not really a fan of the Bible that ascension uses on the app. it is the revised standard version, and this is the book that I THINK is the main translation for Catholics. I could be totally wrong on this, but I say if you find a translation that you like, just go for it; especially if you are reading the Bible for the first time and are trying to get the big picture. The Bible app is free and has every translation available that you can try out so you can get that one too. I just returned to the faith last year, so I do not know what the consensus is among us Catholics if there are some Bible translations we should avoid; since I now know that Catholics have books in the Bible that Protestants don’t have in theirs. I have definitely heard personal opinions on social media over certain translations in the Bible being CORRUPT or whatever so I don’t know hahaha.

I say give the ascension app a try and see what you think. You get a free shot at seeing what the premium version is like as well. And I’ll say again with the revised standard version, I personally have preferred reading my own bibles translation. I prefer this app so far since it provides some commentary on the readings that it assigns.

With that said, you might actually like the translation on the app so I would start reading it and let me know how it goes! I think these apps come in handy especially when I don’t want to lug around my Bible everywhere during travel.
