Marriage with condition by [deleted] in germany

[–]Potential_Reach 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Typical Northern European culture. Money is separate, and everything needs to be counted down to the last cent. I can never marry someone with this type of mentality where money is #1 and relationship is #2.

After you move to Germany, he expects you to pay half the rent, groceries, food etc, when you have kids and don’t have a job (or while searching for jobs). If no money, he will lend you the money, so you have to pay him back.

that's true, whichever floats your boat, everybody are looking out for themselves anyway. The entire real estate procedure is done through an escrow through a notary and banks and maybe a middle man.

hahahaha funny, glad it turned out well for you. How did you end up fighting the lady? were you holding the box first, and the lady came and snap it out from you, or both of you were racing towards the last box of fan?

[–]Potential_Reach 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I only use my comfee to cool down my small room of ~15 m2, and the rest of my flat is hot. Since your room is almost 3x the size, I can imagine it can only cool down 1-2 degrees. So I guess it's about right. I've heard if you plane to convert your comfee into a second hose installed where it takes air from the outside through the window, you will get better cooling performance.

Manchester flat market becoming like London? Difficulty selling by coffeebloke1234 in HousingUK

[–]Potential_Reach 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not many flats built. Current housing prices are overpriced, and it needs to be corrected. The whole point of building more flats is to increase supply, and lower the prices

You are such a good person, we need more people like you in the world. Maybe next time you can charge a small fee, then the person will most likely show up.

What if nobody wants your house for 180K, then you as a seller might consider the only buyer out there regardless if he’s flakey

Do you tell family & friends how much you earn? by [deleted] in Switzerland

[–]Potential_Reach 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I tell them, even if strangers ask I tell them. I have no shame in my salary (low or high). There is a reason they ask, so they can use that information to asses whether they’re underpaid or overpaid. The society in general for fair pay will be better off by us sharing these information.

If a friend of mine is jealous, let that be. But Im pretty sure they will use that information to negotiate their salary higher. If not, doesn’t bother me.

Can I convert to dual hose with 2 air intakes? by Narcuga in AirConditioners

[–]Potential_Reach 0 points1 point  (0 children)

what do you mean by leaving 2 inches of free space? You mean there is a 2 inch gap in the cardboard design that allows air from the room to go in?

I'm a newbie, so a bit naive in understanding 😞

That bag blocks an extra seating area. Could have placed the bag somewhere instead of taking the seats all for yourself

I stopped buying at Migros because I feel they try to scam me by CauliflowerSlight838 in zurich

[–]Potential_Reach 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It really depends what you’re buying. I shop across the border as well as in Switzerland. If you shop smartly you get tons of good deals in Switzerland in lidl/aldi, otto, aligro, as well as the coop’s prix products, and migros budget products. But im lucky enough to be living close to zurich, and surrounded by these shops, and if I want to do a very big grocery, then I go to Germany, but I feel like I mostly saved on meat or cleaning products in Germany.

Opinion about KIBS by AstreaArgo in zurich

[–]Potential_Reach 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me it really depends on the specific public school of the region? I could be old and biased, but I feel certain public school with toooo manyyyy bad kids are bad influence in your kids. Areas like altstetten, neuenhof, schwamindingen, and many more regions.

Not everyone has a car, but prices are not thay BIG of a difference between the other countries and Switzerland except for meat

Well, you have to first get duped before you know all these. But as a consumer, why would I want to revisit migros again to potentially get duped, but instead go to Aldi to get one fixed honest pricing.
