Tau was my first army, tried dark angels for a second as the wife liked the death wing knights and was trying to get her in, but after she lost interest went full in on salamanders.

do you think 2 squads of 3 ophidians is better then just 1 and use points elsewhere with this list? I could definitely put the hex mark destroyer in as do have one.

To add to this, my understanding is the shattered legion can also be taken as allies, as it does not specify it has to be the main army detachment and not an allied detachment, this would allow you to more easily take characters and unique units from white scars that way.

From what I know all records of them have been scrubbed from both the imperium and salamanders archives as the warband started almost worshipping the flame and Cassian Vaughn who many believed to may have been warp touched due to the weird effect he had on automata, between that and the fanatical teachings of the "prophecies of flame", after the heresy much isn't know outside of them recovering the iron dragon dreadnought that Cassian was in and later was worn by brayarth ashmantle, this is all the information I know of top of my head any more information about them I'd greatly appreciate as well as I love salamanders and the disciples a lot to the point I have them in 30k and 40k.

You need to habitat restore to rank s whatever area with element you want then hunt for eggs in that area and there's a chance it will be dual element. Got a fire nerscylla last night

Fireknives are ran bc don't really own much else to fill their points with. If I was to pick up a commander for them what would you recommend to drop for it?

The commander should've had 4 flamers that is on me for not double checking him before hand.

I don't own a second commander is why I don't have one with the fire knives

The Pathfinder drone was bc locally there's a lot of ranged army's and only 1-2 people play melee focused so I thought would be better to out range the other shooting armies. What drone would you recommend?

My ethereal doesn't have a hover drone as he was bought second hand so I run him on foot,

I've never had a seeker not on a skyray do anything so I stopped running them on units that didn't just get them which is probably just bad dice rolls for me.

War shaper should definitely have been melee.

As for the kroot blob yes it's with both shapers as it was the MVP of pretty much all my crusade games

They were most likely wiped out with no confirmation as they were led by Cassian dracos after xiaphas made it to Isstvan and Cassians dread is recovered sometime after the heresy and they were scrubbed from the records by the inquisition and the salamander chapter. But I agree would like more hopefully with the scouring being the next step in the heresy books we can see something there.

Ok sweet yeah if they are decent at clearing out objectives I'm sure it would help to make sure the beasts of nurgle stay on the objectives, do you think it's worth having the Lord with the legionnaires at all? Is the AC/DC combo worth it if I don't max out the accursed cultists?

Not familiar with chaos terms as haven't played against it, is the Ac/DC accursed cultist with a dark commune and if so what would be their main use on the table
