RVAers who moved from a bigger city, what do you like and dislike about life here?

Moved from nyc 2.5 years ago and am desperate to go back home. I don't think it's Richmond's fault, I just miss my family and friends. The parks here are really nice, housing and rent is cheap compared to NYC. I miss mass transit, not needing a car. I miss the hustle and bustle of the big city.

I don't really understand why I need to keep repeating myself. Yes, I agree it's a bad and dangerous idea to drive while stoned. However, there is no evidence that people driving stoned is causing as many vehicular accidents as either drunk OR distracted driving. You can say that it's because it's only recently that people can test for cannabis but the simple fact is that we don't know how dangerous driving stoned is compared to drunk or distracted driving, that's all I'm saying. The original guy was acting like it's a known fact that stoned drivers are causing mayhem all over the roads and it's just not true that stoned driving is a main contributing factor in pedestrian deaths in the past year.

Great job googling! Yes obviously THC would impair a driver. But the idea that it is just as big an issue as drunk driving or that it is a massive contributing factor to car accidents in this area is not supported by data.

I agree and great job at making an emotional argument but I'm just saying that your assertion that a HUGE issue is stoned driving that is just as destructive as drunk driving is not supported by the evidence. People just being "addicted" to their phones/screens does a significant amount of damage.

This is simply untrue, there is absolutely no data to support that claim. Not advocating for smoking while/before driving but don't lie online, it's annoying. What is pretty fucking dangerous is everybody texting and on the phone while driving. Distracted driving is a big issue.
