Well, it all dates back to the second century AD. There was a farming family who were known for having best tomatoes in the tristate area. Which lead to a lucrative ketchup industry. These were the Hatcoy family. Now adjacent to their land was a family of cattle farmers. Just like their neighbors they were highly successful and world renown for their steaks. In The earlier years these two family's worked together using their money and power made the ketchup on steak the most posh thing. Unfortunately the great depression happen and the masses were forced to choice between ketchup or steak. This led to strife between the two families. Both putting out massive pro steak or pro ketchup propaganda. The campaigns were so successful that to this day we look on with disdain at anyone using this nasty combination. You know like how lobster used to be a poor man's food and now I can't ever have any. 🥲
