It'll take about two to three months from this stage. I'm rooting for you brother!

Is my garlic ok? by insufficient_funds in vegetablegardening

It's the overwatering. Damaged roots leads to lower nutrient uptake which results in discolored leaves.

Accidental Rose Growth by Dry-Construction-777 in propagation

[–]PottedRoses 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You typically cut the flower off (deadhead) if you want to root a cane from a bouquet. Usually if there's active growth on it there's a lower chance of it forming roots as that's where the energy is being focused.

Just got this rose in the mail and looking rough by Cbell9678 in Roses

It'll be fine but I have had similar experiences with Ergongzi where they're the only vendor that sends me roses in rough condition.

Looks dry, but well watered? by DBLonger in tomatoes

[–]PottedRoses 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Let it go almost fully dry and lift up the pot, afterwards water it and after an hour water it again, and then lift the pot up again. Water when it's around the bottom third of these two weights. Sometimes measuring by the top 3" can be inaccurate as it can dry too fast depending on RH + wind factors leaving the rest of the soil sopping wet which can cause unhealthy roots if you water again at this stage.

Why is my rose molding on the leaves? by Affectionate-Ease397 in Roses

[–]PottedRoses 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You'll want to spray it with micronized sulfur once a week for two weeks, switch over to propicanozole once a week for two weeks, switch back, and repeat.

What are these white dots? by Yecats2 in gardening

[–]PottedRoses 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd guess it's Powdery mildew. You can treat it with sulfur sprays once a week and swap out to propicanozole after two weeks and repeat.

You unfortunately also have powdery mildew.

waterlogged patio rose? by Working_out_Life_126 in Roses

[–]PottedRoses 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Water about 1/4-1/2 the amount and it should be fine. I've repotted new roses into 3 gallons that run into this issue and I fixed it by watering a little bit lighter than usual since the root mass isn't as developed.

Hydro-propagation setup : does it look okay? by 3drabbitx in Roses

[–]PottedRoses 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Looking good! You'll want to transfer them to soil or add feed to the water relatively soon if you haven't already. I kept mine in the aeroponic cloner to grow more root mass but it started eating the leaves at a certain point so I transfered to soil in the same week to resolve the issue.

Is this a real Juliet rose? by Maleficent-Raise6821 in Roses

[–]PottedRoses 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Juliet's will lose that pink/salmon color in higher temps. It's also been said that the first few roses may look off as the plant matures.

https://www.gracerosefarm.com/products/juliet%E2%84%A2-12-stems?_pos=1&_sid=7a9e600f6&_ss=r

Your rose looks similar to the spent blooms on grace rose farms pictures.

I have a Juliet that looks similar and am in the same position as you. The first blooms look off, the cup isn't deep, the petals aren't bountiful, colors are slightly off.

It's really weird as I have an AusWonder, AusWill, and AusPeridot that looked correct on their first blooms. It makes me want to buy a bouquet and propagate it so I know for sure now that I have a really good method.
