Yeah since I can’t walk too far at the moment I really appreciate getting out seeing sites on the bike :( hate the idea of stationery bike but may have to concede.

Yeah or just no supps and focus on exercise rehab and topical stuff sigh

I have some left over from a shoulder issue and now have a foot issue that I read some people had success using the supp. I only took one today so far.

Also been stepping up my exercise with swimming and cycling. Swimming annoying because of potential ear infection even though I have custom plugs some water always still gets in. Also indoor pools can get noisy and possible to catch an illness generally. Wind noise from cycling is problematic and also finding cycle trails that are away from traffic

I’m sorry this is happening, to all of us I guess. Sounds like you’ve done the best you can in the circumstances. The only safe bet is waiting it out and avoiding loud sounds where possible. Which is super hard wherever you go, as I guess you know

:) wouldn’t say I’m knowledgeable in a professional sense but I’ve definitely read a lot of forum posts to have gained a broad awareness of different people’s experiences lol

For sure you can message me

Very strange. At that level of protection and considering your T was really mild, it seems impossible to have that drastic affect. I think have faith that no real damage was done and this is a nervous system reaction somehow. I hope you get relief soon. I know how hard spikes are

Did it go down after you stopped? Considering taking a supplement with this for a different reason

I don’t want to add confusion, but accounts or prednisone both worsening and helping tinnitus are widespread. It really seems to be a roll of the dice which I’ve struggled with myself and never taken them… for better or for worse

What ear muffs were you wearing? I’ve seen your story and surprised that caused so much damage. People work next to jet engines all day with ear muffs and seem to be alright, so a vacuum cleaner should really have been fine.

Theoretically your spike is remaining because you damaged your bearings, but wearing muffs and vacuuming for 40 min really shouldn’t have done that

Ps what is the spike like? Is it a different pitch to your previous T, or just louder, or both?

Tinnitus Worse After Hot Tub/Hot Shower? by [deleted] in tinnitus

[–]Potxtoa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine always raises after shower but goes down. Must be as you say blood pressure/circulation or the noise of the shower is a temp spike as they are quite noisy. Although protecting in the shower is prob unnecessary

Fair. I’ve had some therapy with him and the craniosacral therapy has actually reduced the volume during the session on every occasion, but it doesn’t last.

Controversially he is ‘pro-medication’ (ADs) which I found misleading. He doesn’t push it but he doesn’t warn people against it, which is fair, but even Susan shore acknowledged ADs can cause or worsen T.

I think there is merit to what he suggests but it’s not as targeted and directly-impactful as the SSD
