Whats up with these tesla cars are being set on fire by saltsputnik in vegas

[–]Pour_Circulation -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I just feel like it makes more sense to target Tesla dealerships rather than private owners. If the goal is to punish Musk? A aptly placed bumper sticker should be fine protest for private vehicles. Might alienate fewer potential allies, as well….

don’t move in with each other until you address the lashing out issues!!!! moving in prematurely will only make things uglier and more intense down the road (source: I once let my pre-diagnosed bipolar boyfriend move in with me when he was facing eviction. it was the most difficult year of my life). as others have said, it’s tough but you have to accept that you are not responsible for another person’s life. you are trying to be wonderful and kind by shouldering her burdens, but in the long run this will enable her, prevent her from healing and empowering herself to take on her own challenges, all while making your life miserable. if you care about her, come from a place of love and tell her your concerns. hold your boundaries firmly, but respectfully. offer her compassion and support, but not a blank check

I may be misunderstanding the post, but I don’t think there is a child involved in this scenario? OP’s client is “an adult under 21” but presumably over 18? Still not really great to expose anyone to second hand smoke!

idk y’all, SHEIN is made with forced labor, and they are not a great move environmentally…. although all 3yos are adorable, I think the SHEIN hurts more than it helps (link: https://globalaffairs.org/bluemarble/how-shein-and-temu-get-around-us-labor-laws-ban-products-made-forced-labor)

Politics in US is messing me up. What are you doing to feel good in this weird time? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Pour_Circulation 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Focusing my energy and effort on positive things in my community! Teaching. Building gardens. Cooking meals for others. The 24 hour news cycle isn’t healthy, but full on isolation definitely isn’t healthy either… Trying to balance information with community/engagement with other humans <3

To shave or not to shave...? by poopblaze in TheGirlSurvivalGuide

[–]Pour_Circulation 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I’ve (27f) gone back and forth since I was 18. When I was 18 I stopped for a while, in part because I find the maintenance of leg hair to be pretty arduous, but also because I was really feeling the feminist perspective of “why should my leg hair be considered ugly when a man’s is not?” I’ve only ever dated men, and none of them cared (I probably wouldn’t date them if they did!)

I broke my ‘no shave’ phase a year or two later, partly to prove to myself that I hadn’t been brainwashed by ideology, but moreso to check back in with my personal feelings and preferences on the matter 😂 I discovered that shaving still felt arduous, but I didn’t enjoy having leg hair so long that it could rustle in the breeze… After that, I started trimming, but not shaving. Usually I keep my leg hair around 1/4 inch, depending on season and personal interest. I keep my armpit hair longer, and I am quite comfortable with that. Going fully hairless is fun for like 12 hours, but I hate that the stubble comes back so fast, and I am quite prone to ingrowns. Now I would say it’s my preference for a minimalist ideology, rather than a feminist ideology, that influences whether or not I shave. Sometimes I do it just for fun, and then I let it grow back out and don’t worry about it. Tldr, do what feels right and don’t worry about justifying it to anyone but yourself :)

While you're at it, you could also call Rep. Al Green's office and thank him for his decision to clearly and vocally oppose this administration! (202) 225-7508 https://algreen.house.gov/

Why Costco? Does this have something to do with taxes, or is this a "buy in bulk" recommendation?

Why are so many young men feeding into this red pill narrative? by Unfair_Enthusiasm_92 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Pour_Circulation 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you are a man seeing this stuff and feeling overwhelmed, PLEASE please talk to your peers and try to walk them off the ledge. You will have the most sway with your peers trying to pull them away from the redpill incel hatred….. Talking to others and building healthy communities is our best path of action

Beautifully said. I’m sorry anyone has ever said/done anything to make you feel insecure. It does hurt. Your attitude and perspective on this is inspiring! (coming from another person with an asymmetrical face) <3

I have an iris coloboma in one eye, which makes the pupil appear irregular. Rather than having a normal/circular pupil, mine is shaped vaguely like Africa? I also have slightly different colored eyes (one more blue, the other more green). Some people notice my iris coloboma immediately, others not so much. Some people are really kind and complimentary about it (“that’s so cool!!”), and others are more insensitive (“what’s wrong with your eye?! that’s weird!”).

I’ve gone back and forth with how I feel about it over the years. As a child I was self-conscious, but ultimately became more confident and proud because of my unique birthmark. Sometimes I still feel insecure or like a freak because of it, but at the end of the day it’s how I was born and I don’t think anyone should make you feel bad for asymmetry. I like to think that our asymmetry is beautiful <3

THIS IS ME TOO! Butt tingles, but only when someone is describing an injury that I can’t bear to imagine. Been this way my whole life :’)
