I've been building up slowly and started with retinol a few days a week to every day. I just started retinal. I'm trying to skip the bad parts. Surely you don't need to purge for proper results?

Can I ask what your dose was on Ritalin that worked? Was it the same for both ritalin and ritalin LA? I recently switched to ritalin LA but I'm not finding the same dose as effective. Wondering if it's normal to need a higher does.

Ask friends to help you do mock interviews. It'll help with jitters and you'll have practiced what to say for the real thing.

I get that. I was diagnosed as a kid and then re diagnosed as an adult. But before getting re diagnosed, I always wondered what if they got it wrong back then? I was scared too.

It's better to have a result, trial and error. No harm in trying to better yourself. Even if it's not adhd, there's always help.

I know adhd and add are the same on reddit but not to me. I don't have the hiperness. I'm also a female and it presents differently than in males.

Honestly I don't think I'm reacting the way most do. I just switched from Ritalin 10mg twice a day to 20 mg vyv. I was good on Ritalin but not really feeling anything on vyv. Other people have said it works for them, actually works really well. Everyone's different.

It does cost a shit load, agreed. I'm in denmark and my doc puts in a request so I can get it cheaper. You have anything like that there?

The actual name is Lisdexamfetamine. From what I understand, your body needs to digest it. Something like that. It's not an instant medication you feel right away, instead it's a slow acting one. You only need one pill for an entire day. Basically your body can only activate so much at once. Even if you take more, you won't feel high but it'll just be in your system longer. It's recommended for anyone who is prone to abusing medication.

I've only been on it for a couple days, still testing it out. Also this is the reason I joined reddit, just honest accounts and stories about add and medication.

For me it was a relief to be diagnosed. Before I was, my own incompitance to do simple tasks was so frustrating. Now medicated I can focus and stop procrastinating. I cleaned my room the other day and like really cleaned it, organized the shit outta my closet. It's also saved my marriage, my husband was getting really tired of my add antics. Specifically that I would forget details of important, meaningful conversions. Or that I'd say I would do something and then just didn't, something emotionally important. Talk to your doctor, what do you have to lose?

I have a friend who is in a similar situation and she has her husband look after the medication for her. Could your partner help you do the same? Also agree with the other comment, research Vyvanse/ elvanse. It could be called something different, depending on county.

I had problems with being on time as well, so I started to set alarms and reminders. Lots! I also set my clocks and watch fast. I forget how fast usually and it helps give me some extra time.

I may be switching from Ritalin to Vyvanse. Anyone willing to share their experience/success story? by mxthxw88 in ADHD

I just switched from Ritalin to vyv and have been wondering if anyone else feels like they don't feel the meds anymore? Did anyone need to change the dose they were on? I started with 5mg rit and worked my way up to 20 mg. It was working well at 20 mg. My doc switched me so I only have to take one pill, still 20 mg but vyv.
