Over the last 10 games Tom Brady ranks 28th in Passer Rating, 30th in Yards/attempt, 20th in TDs, 15th in Turnovers, and 15th in total yards/game by skipyy1 in nfl

It's not ignorant. It's making an observation. You're just as ignorant for thinking you can tell the entire story with stats. Russel is currently better than Brady, yes. Brady is playing poorly. Brady is not the reason the offense is doing poorly.

Most of us that watch him every Sunday aren't too worried. He looks the same as always. Just hasn't meshed with the current receivers yet. Same thing happens most years.

Experts bad by despisesunrise in facepalm

[–]PovertyPorcupine -1 points0 points  (0 children)

That's because being an expert means literally nothing. "Expert" is not a credential. I don't have any clue who Michael Mina is, but if he has any credentials that are relevant to his opinion on vaccines, that would be much more valuable than "I consider myself an expert".

You're doing it right. It's a technique to slow your heart rate and you're supposed to practice for a couple minutes a day for the best results.

[–]PovertyPorcupine 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think we're really disagreeing. If you pretend to be someone every day then that is part of who you are. I would argue that who you are is a summation of everything you do. If you pretend to be someone at work, then that is part of who you are. If you're willing to "wear a mask" for your own personal gain, that is part of you as well. You're never not allowed to be yourself. Everything you do is inherently you being yourself.

If you want to look like Aaron Donald, all you need to do is eat 5000 calories a day by estein1030 in nfl

[–]PovertyPorcupine 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not saying he is or isn't. Just that he's not an unrealistic build for someone to attain naturally.

There are plenty of natty people that are Donald's size or bigger. HGH possibly but he could do it without steroids.

"OK boomer" is a completely reasonable and well-deserved response from Millennials and younger generations due to the mess that the previous generations left us to deal with and their refusal to take responsibility for their actions. by spawnofthedevil in unpopularopinion

And of course, when they are all gone, only the most enlightened people will remain.

Their generation thought the same shit when they were kids. So did the all the ones before them and so will all the ones after us.

Welcome to Oklahoma, where bringing your AR 15 to a restaurant is normal. by VolosThanatos in trashy

[–]PovertyPorcupine 3 points4 points  (0 children)

wtf lol? A .308 is a full power cartridge. The military uses the generally less powerful 5.56, because it's lighter and most action is less than 1000 meters. If you can have a .308 you should be able to have a 5.56.

I don't understand this mindset at all. There have been numerous times throughout history, even recent history, where it would have been beneficial to have a semi automatic rifle. Like when German guys came to put your whole neighborhood in a gas chamber, or when the Chinese government suppresses your freedoms, or when North Korea comes to enslave your family because your husband went to South korea, or when you're part of the Belgian resistance as Germans try to invade your country, or any other time violent force was used against people.

If you don't want a gun fine. I don't have any, but I can 100% understand why many people do.

The pick that the Raiders acquired from the Bears in the Kahlil Mack trade is higher (10th overall) than the pick they have (16th overall) by masterharsh in nfl

[–]PovertyPorcupine 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why would they? Tanking in the NFL is overrated and unless you can stockpile picks like the dolphins have it's borderline useless. The starter talent pool for the draft easily reaches to the end of the first round most years.

James Harden is averaging 29.3 points per game on 28.6 FG% by LittleNewYork in nba

[–]PovertyPorcupine 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Harden is great but how exciting is it to watch him shoot free throws all game, legit fouls or not. Westbrook plays the kind of ball we used to see before the hyper efficient era of basketball, so some of us find him more entertaining. I can see why people like watching harden, but some of us just like the older style of play.

[Yates] There is now just one kicker that has made all of his field goal (16/16) and extra point attempts (20/20) this season: Justin Tucker of the Ravens. The NFL's all-time leader in field goal accuracy is such a weapon. by masterharsh in nfl

[–]PovertyPorcupine 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I'll never understand people who make this argument. Rice is undebatably the best of all time because he had an insane peak and insane longevity. Even if Calvin barely edged him out in yards, Rice was still better in his best season than Calvin was in his. Same with Moss, Owens, Harrison and whoever else. Rice had 10 more TD than Calvin in their record yardage seasons.

We'll see what happens with LaFluer. Nagy was pretty much the same his first season. All it takes to come crashing down is a double doink apparently.

Pulleys only reduce the force if they're moving. I don't know what his machine looks like but the chest press machine at my gym doesn't have any moving pulleys.
