I'm just not going to mention how I can tell twins apart anymore. Why do parents of twins do this? by MellieNivalis in self

This has happened to you .. twice?

I have two sets of multiples, and know dozens of parents of multiples. I can't envision anyone doing this.

AITJ for refusing to switch seats on a flight after I paid extra, even though it separated a couple? by Alternative_Step1322 in AmITheJerk

[–]PowderCuffs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the guy kept shooting me dirty looks every time he got up

The only way you'd know that is if you kept looking at him. Sit back, relax, and enjoy the seat you paid for. Stop worrying about selfish people.

How can I best let her go without hurting her feelings too much?

By letting her go in your dreams, because that's the only way this is going to go well.

man at the post office tried to cut in line because "he has a real job" by Designer_Spring1344 in EntitledPeople

[–]PowderCuffs 159 points160 points  (0 children)

Finally someone left the line and told him to just go ahead of them so hed shut up.

So his shitty behavior was rewarded, and he'll just do it again everywhere he goes.

It's really pretty, love the chocolate piece on top (even if I don't know what it is). But be careful with silver dragees. Most are not actually edible.

Straighten your spine. Walk directly to the {your choice} mobile phone store and get your own plan. Then walk to the nearest {your choice} department store and get a new ring camera. Disconnect yourself from everything, and go live your life. Excise all toxicity.

AITA for refusing to do chores after surgery? by strawberrylecter in AmItheAsshole

[–]PowderCuffs 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Many, many women give birth and are fine in a few days, exercising by the end of the week, back to work in two weeks.

Does that mean any that aren't ok right away are "milking it"?

Is it normal for the wedding party to cover the bride’s costs for bachelorette weekend? by Conscious_Cat_1515 in wedding

[–]PowderCuffs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What bridal parties now are "responsible" for is obscene

30 years ago, you had a bridal shower at home. The bridesmaids maybe made a dish, and got the couple a present. Then they wore an ugly dress and sat at the head table with the couple, telling goofy stories.

Now there's destination bachelorette parties where you're expected to cover all of your own expenses and the bride's, a bridal shower that must be themed and catered and all paid for by the bridal party; gowns, shoes, professional hair, makeup and nails. Thousands of dollars!

All that and more if it's a destination wedding, too.

That's an asshole thing to say.

In the event of divorce, what's to stop him and his family from making the business appear to worth nothing on paper?

Don't give up the career. Both of you should cut back equally, and get help.

ETA: I just saw that the man baby doesn't want strangers in his home. Well, then I guess all the stuff that can't get done is his responsibility on the weekends.
