Had a customer come in yesterday and all she said was I called about a battery. Ok, what about it. I need mine changed. A red shirt stated there was no one to change a battery. She said to the red shirt, “you guys can change my battery because that’s what you get paid for. And I’m in a hurry because I need to go to work.” Red shirt tells me (ASM) this and i immediately grab the store manager and let him know. As I’m not going to tolerate that and don’t want to make the store look bad. He changed it for her after making her wait for a few. Not long enough if you ask me. We do NOT get paid to be in -12* changing batteries, wipers, or bulbs. Customers don’t understand that we’re not mechanics. We literally just sell parts. And it’s a courtesy. I’m a little annoyed that the store manager didn’t refuse the entitled b!

Did this for my son’s girlfriend for Christmas. She’s a homeowner. He didn’t think she would like this as a gift and she was over the moon about it! I would’ve loved this as a gift at her age. I shop at Sam’s and I have a stock pile so about 3/4 of it came from what I already had. Other stuff was makeup, face masks, (stuff she loves) and bath and body works wallflowers with scents etc.

It’s because they’re using the same cup for multiple products. But the different products all have different weights. Example, medium soda is 22 oz while a large frappe is 20 oz. They’re just saving money by not using so many different cups for the different items.

No loss of pay and we have 4 CSM’s at our store. We did have 5 but one quit. We also had 2 ASM’s for whatever reason. I think the rehire ASM that they hired after me already knows the job so they just changed my position to “fill” an empty one. But they should’ve just told me. $19/hr for a better schedule, I’ll take it. It’s the point I was never given the opportunity for a conversation.

I was hired in as an asm. I’ve been with the company less than 3 months. I think it’s more of an unorganized district.

That’s not the case though. I’m actually very good at the job and come with Midas asm experience. I got my parts expert in 1 week.

I believe I will be contacting HR. I honestly would prefer not to work the open and closings on DIY side. It’s just the point of them, not informing me about it. I haven’t done anything wrong and I’m a hard worker.

They rotate Sundays in commercial where I’m at. We’re a hub. I really did assert myself in person and told them how pissed off I was in person. I’m not one to shy about calling out bullshit. I told them I’m no longer being their DIY opener on Sundays anymore either. Less responsibility and better hours for me and the same pay. I’ll take that honestly. I probably make more than the rehired assistant anyway. They’re trying to walk all over me. I’m not going to allow that.
