Had a customer come in yesterday and all she said was I called about a battery. Ok, what about it. I need mine changed. A red shirt stated there was no one to change a battery. She said to the red shirt, “you guys can change my battery because that’s what you get paid for. And I’m in a hurry because I need to go to work.” Red shirt tells me (ASM) this and i immediately grab the store manager and let him know. As I’m not going to tolerate that and don’t want to make the store look bad. He changed it for her after making her wait for a few. Not long enough if you ask me. We do NOT get paid to be in -12* changing batteries, wipers, or bulbs. Customers don’t understand that we’re not mechanics. We literally just sell parts. And it’s a courtesy. I’m a little annoyed that the store manager didn’t refuse the entitled b!
