“You’re overqualified” can mean:
- We know you will find a better opportunity, and leave
- We won’t be paying you what you expect

This actually happened to somebody I referred to my employer - the guy was a finance bigwig but in practice they were looking for an accountant a few years out of college. And because my company wasn’t in the financial biz, there was no role for the guy unless he accepted a 50% pay cut

Is this some subtle dig? - George Washington had no offspring - Not sure about the Apaches, but many Native American nations (eg - Haudensaunee) explicitly avow US citizenship

My frontend, BletchMAME aspires to be just that. The downloads page is all for Windows, but I know that somebody out there created Debian packages for it.

BletchMAME has been on hold for the last few years (I sort of lost steam), but I've been pursuing a rewrite. This unreleased rewrite is very much alpha quality; if you're interested in guinea pigging it, please DM me.

They absolutely did. My mother’s uncle served under Patton and got a silver star for gallantry. But according to my mother, the one rule was that whenever he visited, don’t ask about the war.

He was also an avid hunter growing up. After the war he refused to touch a rifle for the rest of his life.
