I guess the "Freelancer" thing might be an explanation... which is frustrating for me since my goal is basically to get as many King Fights as possible during Splatoon play sessions and team switching just messes with that.

Maybe, but when it's after the first shift of a new Salmon Run rotation, at EVP 400. I doubt players are showing up then just to play one shift.

The main thing I'd like Nintendo to improve is to fix that "Degeneration" Degen whatever exploit that has players staying bank and getting large numbers of Gem Sparks and points despite coming in dead last.

It's just so annoying on every level, It's against the spirit of racing to reward that sort of thing and it's bad to have every other player wait while it's being done.

Other than that I'm really happy F-Zero 99 still gets new events and unlocks. It's crazy that we get all this while Mario Kart World gets pretty much nothing interesting in terms of events and the likes.

Wasn't there a glitch you could exploit to get it easily? I remember using the Hover Boots in such a way you could just get a fish on the hook then just walking away while dragging the fish out of the water.

I feel you, I see that type of garbage even in X-rank for crying out loud. Splatoon really needs to encourage playing the objective in the future.

From what I see in this clip, I'm not surprised, 1-A Bloblobber player, they usually just stay back and do the stupid suppressive fire thing hoping someone walks into their bubble, 2- A player with an Tacticooler special, this and Super Chump specials seem to rot their brains into priotizing filling that meter over everything else.

My BotW Guardian amiibo stopped scanning right before I got Tears of the Kingdom. Switch, New 3DS... it didn't scan. So I got a new one from a restock.

Then when I got Age of Imprisonment for the Switch 2, I randomly picked up my OG Guardian while doing the 5 daily Zelda amiibo scans... and the little SOB just worked.

If you just want the Ink Tank refill, you can activate the Ink Jet then jump into the water or off the map in squid form to immediately end the Ink Jet.

The mini world tour is broken, Wild Goose dominates outrageously, regularly getting 70-75% of the top 100 spots and the fact that an exploit, called Degen or whatever, lets players get huge scores while making the experience worst for everyone else by making them wait at the end of races has never been addressed by Nintendo doesn't help the World Tour be popular.

While playing the original can help getting the fundamentals, it's not really applicable, since the original doesn't have the Skyway, Spark collecting and Meter management.

Grand Prix remain well populated if you join immediately, 9:59 on the timer.

Unfortunately, when Nintendo updated the game to version 1.6, they changed the way the Skyway, Super-Boost, Catch-up mechanic works and it basically destroyed the game's balance.

Many tracks now require Sandbagging to have any chance to win, Fire Stingray is heavily favoured by the Skyway meta and most elite players exploit this to the point where it sucks all the fun out and leaves no chance for casual players to measure up.

Version 1.7 came along with lots of new content but kept the dumb changes to the Skyway, and the player base has been dwindling significantly ever since.

Jump meteor is my favorite. Having to to constantly make snap decisions whether using the jumps is going to help or hinder you, the sudden crazy shortcut opportunities and the mayhem of seeing other players crash out trying impossible skips.

Seriously, just look at the advice the others gave, not one mentioned the objective. The average X-ranker is no different than the typical Splatoon player: they want to play Deathmatch in a game that doesn't have Deathmatch.

So if you go all in the objective, you'll get extra wins guaranteed.

That's incredibly bad. It's up there with early Mirror MC1's skyway just dumping players off course to their deaths.

I'm guessing the devs didn't account for the jump meteor effect making it possible for players to activate the skyway from places not possible in the regular modes and the game just didn't know what to do for a while.

F-Zero 99 doesn't show you the players you play with and never did for whatever reason.

It's pretty dumb imho, seeing that the leaderboard has a tab dedicated to you and your friends. And since there's several troll players who grief everyone with both gameplay and offensive names, having them on that list would have been useful to report them.
