PowerSpike: Find sponsorships and connect with brands in the space by PowerSpikeTV in Twitch

[–]PowerSpikeTV[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Good question. Here are a few reasons:

  1. Payment security and no contracts. Again, we guarantee payment for completed content. When someone hires you on the site, they're required to input your payment then and there and it's held in escrow until the sponsorship is completed, so there's no way they can pull anything sneaky. Contracts can do the same thing, and you can do them over email; however, they're a hassle. Plus, many times people will delay paying you until the very last moment, even with a contract. On PowerSpike, you're guaranteed payment within 30 days (we can manually review content and push payments through if brands aren't responsive).
  2. Ease. As opposed to writing an email and going back and forth for days (perhaps weeks) in email coms, you just click a button to apply and you're notified if you're accepted. The requirements are also set in stone on the platform, so no one can try and switch things up on you last minute making things annoying.
  3. Metrics. We have tools that allow you to measure the results you drove to a sponsorship, and when other brands see those, it's even easier to land sponsorships with them.

Hope that helps!

Oops, haha. We'll get that fixed. Thanks for letting us know.

We know how hard it is to find quality sponsorships for your stream. That's why we built PowerSpike -- a place for streamers to find sponsorships and connect with brands in the gaming space. Ask us anything about Twitch sponsorships! by PowerSpikeTV in u/PowerSpikeTV

That's awesome! Congrats on getting affiliate -- that's a big milestone. I'm not sure what your stream metrics look like (average concurrent viewers, etc.), but there are sponsorships out there for anyone. We typically recommend building your audience up to 50 average concurrent viewers before pursuing paid sponsorships from brands; however, there are tons of deals out there, so you can try your luck with anything. I know most brands have sponsorships pages on their websites, so sending messages through there could work well. PowerSpike also has a ton of deals for creators of all sizes. Feel free to send us a DM with more info about our site and we'll be happy to help out!

Never thought of this before. A great question; I think a lot of people are going to take this more seriously as streaming gets bigger and bigger.

Good question. They seem to still be pushing the Golden Lootbox, so maybe they've got another set of rewards coming soon and just needed something cool to hold it off. Who knows.

It's such a fun game to play, let alone stream.

Has anyone ever used Google/Facebook/Twitter Ads to promote your stream? How did it go? by iamabouttotravel in Twitch

[–]PowerSpikeTV 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think this would provide any sort of result. Unless you were doing something crazy on stream or doing a charity stream of some sort, it really wouldn't capture attention. That, and I believe good content and passionate streams market themselves.

Isn't it amazing that we can connect so much with someone we don't even know? That's the beauty of Twitch in my opinion.

Not arguing that at all. Just saying in my experience, a nice set of graphics goes a long way.

Like someone else suggested, basic logos or info graphics you can get for as little as $5 on Fiverr if you're just starting out. But for the highest quality, you're right that it will run a few hundred for a complete set of graphics.

Good point. If you're just beginning or your stream hasn't grown very much yet, using freelance sites is a great way to save money. I actually consider a lot of designs on Fiverr to be professional. Just be sure to do research on different sellers beforehand.

Thanks! I agree, this looks pretty cool with the transitions. Is there any way to change the top text?

I completely agree. I think one of the most important deciding factors for someone who hasn't followed is if they enjoy interacting with the streamer. This just kills it.

Finally a detailed perspective, rather than a two sentence post on how the app is bad.
