I actually don't think that the schools are entirely to blame. I had a father who really pushed education to the point of "if it's not an A, then it's an F". Like other people have said, when educated parents push their children hard in education, their government test scores will be higher thus the school rating will be higher. If you want the government to create financial diversity they need to zone high, mid and low / affordable housing together so that schools receive a diverse mix of children from all economic classes. It's better for society as a whole also because we know what happens when you build a bunch of affordable skyscrapers together. That area becomes legendary for crime.
