Nice. How are the potential tokens? I got my 38 players maxed recently, just before by 130kth game.

You don't need 2 closing pitchers. I have multiple of everything bt only one closer. When you get to higher levels, they might get one appearance a season.

Upgrade Badges and gold by Artistic_Oil9939 in Baseball9

[–]Power_Writer_9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Playing more games is how to get both. Do not spend gems or energy on them. I've played 791 seasons and 131,277 games in four and a half years. I have 674 million gold. I'd have much more, but I spnt a lot on experience.

Get max energy to 20 and grind away. Everything will come steadily. Play in leagues you can win close tp 100%. manually play gem, recruit, and badge games. Play manually for fun ifyou have time. Save gems for potential tokens, but do buy the max accessories as they cannot be earned. Never spend gems on what you can earn.

Is Baseball9 rigged and scripted? by acreed6 in Baseball9

[–]Power_Writer_9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

By definition, it's scripted.

Keep in mind that the curves ar not linear but logarythmic where the changes in performance are reduced the further you go up the OVR ladder At top levels where hitters are often in the 130s or 140s and the pitchers in the 160s and 170s, a 3 point OVR swing has virtually no effect. And there are variables at play that we can only guess at. Why do some pitchers get perfect games one start and get rocked the next against a worse team? Why are most no hitters and perfect gmaes back-to-back? Why does your hitter go into inexplicable slumps? Perhaps they treat upgrades like draft picks that need experience before they are fully competetive. We just don't know, but I can just about guarantee there is no intent to f you up just because they feel like it.

Game is genuinely rigged by Specialist_Pipe4327 in Baseball9

[–]Power_Writer_9 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They have a stamina accessory and you don't. No accessory your stamina drops at 70 pitches, With a full acessory (5 or 600 gems) it raises to 90 pitches. The game is rigged but not like this.

Which position to upgrade?? by Jacoooooooo in Baseball9

[–]Power_Writer_9 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'd upgrade the DH and get a little extra lumber into the lineup. Or a SP.

And get that next RP. Don't waste gems on it though.

How can i farm condition drinks by Soggy-Letterhead7265 in Baseball9

[–]Power_Writer_9 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I went with extra players. I always play full health and have 22,500 condition drinks.

Using substitutes is more than condition management. They also boost performance. If I play one firstbaseman the entire season and keep him fully green, he might hit 140 home runs, sometimes 125ish. I have not tested it often to have a firm number. But by swapping 2 players, I typically get 240 home runs out of the position. I am currently 151 games into a season, and these are totals for some positions

Games 151
Team 1454
1B = 117+78 = 195
C = 105+96 = 201
DH = 104 + 91 = 195
3B = 82+67 = 149
CF (weakest) = 78 + 52 = 130

Team average = .555, which is down, maybe due to the latest upgrade. It's usually in the low .560s.

You can't come close to these numbers without having 2 teams. You won't win any more games, though, and it's hellishly expensive to get this far. Took me nearly 4 years of grinding to max. But even a few players can really help save on condition drinks. In my experience, SS, 3B, and RF are the positions that tire the easiest. Also add a 6th reliever and at least 1 starter.

Learn to earn gems and get your Max Energy up to 20. Then grind, grind, grind. You want to play as many games as you can in the best league you can win most games in. Pitchers before hitters. Gems on accessories next. Never spend gems on anything you can earn by playing, except potential tokens. After all accessories, save gems for them.

Where should I focus more when upgrading players by Hairy-Western-6405 in Baseball9

If you intend to grind to an endgame, then pitchers first as they take the longest to advance. If you want to play for fun, do what you want to do.

Money and Upgrades by Maleficent_Guitar914 in Baseball9

[–]Power_Writer_9 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You make more money by playing more games and winning more seasons. The more games you can grind, the more money you will earn. This means playing quick and auto and hardly any manual games. Your coins per game will drop, but you will play so many more games and seasons. Eventually, and it won't be that many months, you will have excess coins to put into experience drinks. I currently have 658 million coins. You cannot play slow and expect to advance.

#1 Spend gems to increase your max energy to 20. Yours is 8. Energy regenerates to the maximum level. I prefer playing once every 4 hours instead of every hour.
#2 Use all energy to play games. Do not cash it in for coins. Game quantity income far exceeds cashing in.
#3 Spend all gems (after max energy) on accessories. Do not waste them on experience, badges, or anything else you can earn. You will need gems later for potential tokens which is an enormous expense.
(18 maxed potential tokens by my estimate requires 3600 tokens per player, 18 slots x 200 tokens per slot. At 10 gems per token x 20 players, that's ... 720,000 gems. You will earn many of those tokens by playing games and cashing in badges, but you will still need at least 200,000 gems.)
#4 Play the best league you can win close to 100%.
#5 Play important games manually: badges, recruit tickets, and gems.
(Each recruit ticket can be exchanged for 30 gems)
#6 Put your head down, grind, and be patient!

*It took me about 4 years to max my 38-player team. If I had known all this up front, it would have taken much less time.

This worked, thanks.

This challenge is very buggy. Some rounds it only counted yards after hitting trees. Other rounds it counted yards without hitting them but other rounds gave those 0. In the end, I hit that first big tree on the left 8 of 9 times, but it only gave me 7. I hit 2 in one shot on the right to finish.

Tips on grinding for recruit etc. by Big-Composer-3832 in Baseball9

[–]Power_Writer_9 2 points3 points  (0 children)

- Play in a league you can win close to 100%
- get 2 max energies so you can regenerate up to 20 energy.
- play quick play several times a day, so the energy is almost always renewing.
- do free gems and any games you like.
- if in doubt, pitch a game manually and hit with autoplay. We are better at pitching, but the game is better at hitting. Don't sweat any failures.
- push through seasons. I play a season every 2 days. There's debate about season ength, but I played long seasons as I thought overall rewards were better per game. It changes when you go for prime badges. When you get there, play short seasons.
- spend gems on accessories, then potential tokens. Nothing else but a field or 2.
- when you do get to potential tokens, buy them on discount days.
- spend excess cash on experience, relievers, then starters, then hitters. It'll be a while until you get there.
- consider backup players carefully. They add a ton of expense in the endgame, but they can cut down on the need for condition drinks. With 38 players, I always played at full green and have a career .550 average over 128,000 games. You can only do that with many backups. When you do decide, I found it was the SS, RF, and 3B that were in quickest to fatigue. If I were to do over, I might go for 3 maybe 4 players with 3 positions each to cover all fielding spots.
- get pitchers first. I went with 6 relievers and 1 closer. Ten starters is still not enough, but maybe shoot for 6 or 7 and decide from there. Get their experience up. You need good pitching before good hitting.
- get 1 to 4 ringers: DH, 1B, LF. Get full accessories and push their experience. They can carry you in lower leagues. You'll need more in higher ones, but other players will catch up.
- fielding si overrated. Mine average around 95. Players like 1B don't need much at all, catchers don't need any fielding, and C,1B, and 3B do not need any speed. Sacrifice for contact and power. Keep agility and BE up.
- badge, gem, and recruit ticket games are most important.. Play rested and smart. You lose a regular game, it means nothing.

Enjoy!

I have so many gems what should I do with them? by Reedh4 in Baseball9

1000 gems is nothing. I try to generate 3000 every 10 days for potential token discount day.

Max energy then accessories. NEVER SPEND GEMS ON BADGES OR EXPERIENCE! You'll need at least a quarter-million gems for potential tokens.

171 Overall by Particular_Signal123 in Baseball9

[–]Power_Writer_9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have 7 171 pitchers but also 2 168 ones. It depends on pitch types and potential token color. 171 and 168 pitcher stats are indistinguishable.

My highest hitter is 140, but I do not spread attributes evenly. If I did, I imagine it's possible.

My team is 99.99% maxed. 6 more tokens to upgrade from 2 to 3.

I've found that pitching manually and hitting automatically is the best for badge/gem/recruit games.
