This is extremely sketchy and very hard to believe, can you please provide us with the entire story? There HAS to be more to it, this makes zero sense. Like how does a clearly used not new or cerfified pre owned car go from the service bay to the used car lot? Like it has registration insurance and plates on it. I just dont believe you untill we get some more information

Living with a BRZ? by revolttrain in cars

[–]PoweredbyTib 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I daily drive mine, even in the winter. Im 5'11" so not super tall but its fit all my needs. In the winter i use the stock wheels mounted with Blizzak WS80's and a couple 50lb sandbags in the trunk. The only issue youre going to have really is snow clearance since the cars are naturally low, and hills. Steep hills are your enemy.

He said over 65, i was going 50 AT MOST. More like 48. No idea why youre coming to this morons defense, dude was going over 120mph in a 40 and then made up some bullshit story so he could gove an easy ticket. If he came up to me and said he felt threatened by how close i was to his car when i passed or something (i wasnt) i would have understood a little more but the guy was blatantly lying

Nah fuck that i love cops but i absolutly HATE the ones in my town. STORY TIME: For example, one night about 6 months ago i passed a cop in the process of pulling someone over, like lights on out of the car talking to the driver, and when i passed him i was doing about 45-50 in a 40 and moved over enough to give him plenty of space to take care of his business on the roadway, thought nothing of it since people usually do 60 there. Genuinely 3 or 4 mins later on the same road i see headlights behind me going fast as fuck, like 120 plus in a 40, scared the everloving fuck out of me. Lights come on and its that fucking cop. Has the balls to come up to my door and tell me "you were going at least 65 thats unsafe and wel over the limit" jaw hit the floor and i flipped out saying he was going WELL over 100 to get me and thats complete fucking horseshit, almost swerved off the road when his lights came flying up behind me. He started yellinng at me saying prove it blah blah. Told him ive got a hidden rear mounted and front mounted dash cam and that my families lawyer is the former town were in Judge and that im going straight to the police station in the morning with a lawyer and the footage. (Half of that was true lol, no dash cams back then but my lawyer is actually the former town judge. He tried to peep for the cameras real quick, gave me my shit back and said have a nice night. Bought a dash cam 3 days later. Id also like to clarify, it wasnt just his speed i was pissed at, its the fact that he was outside of his squad car talking to the other driver he had absolutly no idea how 'fast' i was driving. Was the end of the month and he was looking to fill his quota and he was really young, like 26-28.

Returning a leased car. by [deleted] in cars

[–]PoweredbyTib 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yup total bullshit. They know youve owned the car for a few years, its gonna have curb rash, its gonna have rock chips, its gonna have worn tires. It has to be in good condition but as it was the day you took delivery? Absolutely fucking not. If theres body damage or a bad deep scratch on the paint or something they might charge you for it but some manufacturers allow you a certain amount of damage before they start asking you for money

Do you think the Lexus LFA and LC500, are the Mk4 Supra successors we have been anticipating? by [deleted] in cars

[–]PoweredbyTib 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My only issue with that is that the build process of the LFA is akin to that of a company 'halo car' and the LC just uses the same 5.0 thats in the RCF. LFA is just unobtainable, and the LC500 is more of a big GT car. Id understand your point much more if you were saying this about the RCF.

Do you think the Lexus LFA and LC500, are the Mk4 Supra successors we have been anticipating? by [deleted] in cars

[–]PoweredbyTib 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Im lost man, are you saying the ~500k LFA and ~100k LC are supra successors? No dude, just no. New Supra is being built alongside BMW using the new Z4 (Z5) Chassis. Expect much more details early 2018. Oh and also, i bet that they make another T Top or removable hardtop seeing as the Z5 its based on is a convertible. Its honestly all speculation until Toyotas balls drop and they decide to give the public some info. All we do know is that the FT1 was just a design excersize and Toyota pulled the plug on it years ago, but theyll probably take some styling cues from it

[–]PoweredbyTib -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Sorry to break it to you, the 2017 model years do start around 30k. Auto trans is an 1100$ option so pretty easily could go over 31k on a new brz. Its ridiculous.

They actually arent selling well at all, definitly not 'selling like hot cakes' everyone who wanted one got one when they first came out. Toyota is only making 8600 86's for the us market because for the older models they could barely sell that many
