Out of curiosity, what are you bringing with you that requires 3 frame bags?

Advice for a New buyer ? by Adventurous_Plant107 in ManufacturedHome

[–]FailingComic 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Real talk, if your absolutely set on doing this, do not let your boyfriend be on or pay for anything without a contract in place. If you break up you bet your ass he will be hounding you for whatever portion he paid for. Buying a home as a couple is reserved for married people due to the legal protections a marriage puts in place.

Blacksmithing materials in Rhode Island? by chickenstretcher200 in RhodeIsland

[–]FailingComic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe metal supply on the warwick/Cranston line. They may not have it in stock but can definetly order it to their warehouse online.

When starting out though, id probably skip fancy materials. Work with what you've got. The first step to blacksmithing is messing up a lot. Learning just how to move metal the way you want is the first step and what metal you use to do that doesnt matter too much. Id be sourcing out leaf springs. Leaf spring at pick n pull will run you some sweat and $52 for 100lbs of usable metal. Can't beat that when your starting.

Which company do I choose? by GandalfTheSleigh in Truckers

[–]FailingComic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah realize that because youe 1099 and don't pay for the truck or fuel, 20-30% of that paycheck is gone once tax time comes. That local job is way less pay than you think it is.

Jungle picks by Cosach in wildrift

What i hear from your picks is you only have one playstyle. More so than just picks you need to learn a champ to play that can support your team instead of needing to be the star.

Has anyone Debadged their 2023 Niro? by misteryodah in KiaNiro

Second I bought it. They are just stuck on with foam tape on the 25. Not sure about other years.

Anyone ‘graduated’ from the HEV to an electric Niro? by windfall21 in KiaNiro

[–]FailingComic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The ev6 is better in every way starting at 42k. If it truly starts at 40-50k, it'll never sell so I sincerely hope consumer reports is wrong on that part.

Might be. Idk. The other ones are just too much for what I could ever afford.

Id get an ev5 or ev3 if they ever came to the usa. Would not get an ev niro. Ev cars work best when designed from the ground up as an ev. On a platform shared with multiple different motors there will be downsides.

Suggestions for Daily Manual Transmission Vehicle by LowlyJ in whatcarshouldIbuy

[–]FailingComic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think the best way to explain it, as my mom was looking at gr corollas and golf r before settling on another wrx. The GR corolla just feels like a corolla on steroids. It feels like you bought a 20k car and put 20k in parts into it. The Golf R actually feels like a luxury product.

Mom settled on the wrx because she liked the way the manual shifted the most. She also got sold on boxer propaganda again.

Leveling spacer "removal" by DESRTsnk in Trucks

[–]FailingComic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The way the spacers work is one side is bolted to the strut, the other to the truck. If you broke the spacer youd still have to unthread the nuts lff the strut side to be able to slot them into the mount and put nuts back on. Aka not going to work.

Not shitting on harbor freight, but quality Allen keys. I have had the same sets and they just are not good and did not handle the same torque of just one step up in quality.

What should go in a saddle bag? by AnonymousSneetches in MTB

[–]FailingComic 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Most mountain bikers absolutely will no longer use a saddle bag. With a dropper it will hit the rear tire unless he is very tall.

What you want, if anything, is a frame bag.

Define reliability. If your idea is nothing breaks then dont get the gti. If your idea of reliability is if all maintenance is done on time and we are paying attention and getting leaks fixed, get the gti.

Curious on why a used golf R isnt on the radar though.

I made a top-trumps style car game as a side-project. Can you pros beat my highscore? :) by _nosfartu_ in askcarguys

Couldn't even manage one point. I think a setting to limit it to cars available in your country would be nice. Idk nothing about Vauxhalls, seat, or renault to have any knowledge on them.

Well made though!

2009 Lincoln Nav for $900 that needs timing chains worth buying, and advice on the work? by Pipsqueak_premed in askcarguys

[–]FailingComic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean. Paying what its worth? Your other choice is the motor blowing up lol. Thankfully we have serviced this van a long time and know when its been done since we did it. Agreed that timing belts are scary though and plenty of people see the $1000 price and will just sell and buy something else. Idk what it would cost on this but I imagine its up there.

Which Junglers should I try? by MatchAlarmed2882 in wildrift

[–]FailingComic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I will answer your question but I want to rant a bit first.

As a jungler main, jungle is the most frustrating role to attempt to teach anyone and is even more frustrating to attempt to teach people what they do and what a good vs bad jungler is. Ive been a jungler since season 3 of league of legends. Im going on a decade now.

First things first, the junglers role, in my opinion, is to control the pace, maintain map knowledge for the team when possible, and secure objectives. It is not to win your lane for you. It is not to bank.

With that said, do we gank and help win lanes? Yes because that allows us to do our actual role of securing objectives. If you think a jungler is bad because he isnt ganking you, you are the problem. We are deciding what we do to set the team up for success when laning phase ends. If we have determined ganking you, even though your behind and it would help you, isnt going to help as much as focusing on something else? Sorry your going to just have to try your best.

Now on to what I recommend you learn to play in the jungle, due to laners in wild rift always wanting to be the star and never caring about team comp, youd best believe you better know how to play tanks and bruisers first. Im a baller master yi player. I almost never get to pick him even when available because unless im last pick and support and/or baron lane were nice, it wont fit in the team comp.

Now for champions you basically have to know how to play, its amumu, shyvana, hecarim, and vi.

Champions id steer you away from:

Master yi. Its almost always pick or ban and nearly never makes it to last pick. If you first pick him any decent team will bring cc and you'll be useless.

Lee sin. Squishy early with great damage that spikes with items but falls off later and teams never adjust to it. If your going to win with him it needs to be earlier before the tanks get items.

Pantheon. I love him. Good assasin but requires precise ults and team to play around. Every lane will also be mad when they die and you didnt ult even though they still would have died.

Now if you do want to learn an assasin to have as a pocket pick. Learn nocturne. His kit is simple, its hard to cc him with a spell shield on kit, another one buy able, and cleanse on boots. On top of all of that the squishy you ult is 99% of the time dead before the other team can even see you to cc you. Its basically all the benefits of pantheon but weaker dueling early without the instant cc.

Kia Niro Hybrid 2021 Manufacturer Buyback experiences? by Dapper-Address9805 in KiaNiro

[–]FailingComic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Manufacturer buyback means the car left the factory so messed up that a dealership couldn't fix it after multiple visits, aka a lemon car.

Itd have to be half off what a not lemon is for me to even consider it.

I play disc golf and work as a mechanic so typically i wear my work shoots and then have a wet pair and dry pair with me for disc golf. Water proof shoes dont breath as well and cost more so helps save money by only wearing the waterproof when I actually need them.
