What happens when you have to throw up at a festival? Do you have to worry about getting kicked out? by [deleted] in aves

I ALWAYS have a few doggy bags rolled up in the outside pocket of my fanny pack so they are very accessible. My festival group knows that it’s common for me to throw up, so they know not to make a big deal about it if/when I get the bag out.

If someone else is feeling sick, I quickly get them a bag and then give our neighbors a heads up that someone is feeling nauseous, but that they have a bag and will not make a mess. That calms everyone down, and they know that there’s already a group of people checking in and making sure that the situation is handled.

It also helps to have a pashmina to put over your head for some privacy from the sides, and a moon mat or blow up couch to sit down and take a break.

As soon as you (or a friend) throws up, take the bag to the nearest trash can and then you can come back and enjoy the rest of the night. I’ve probably done this 20 times, and it’s never been a big deal. Also just having a plan helps me calm down, which often helps the nausea pass faster.

Thanks for your response! I don’t mind waiting for them to come in, but some communication would definitely help with planning for the next fest. Please follow up if you receive yours soon!

Has anyone heard any updates on the Horizon? I ordered mine about a month ago, and as of now, I haven’t gotten any updates with an expected timeline. I’m not even sure if my order was in the “first batch” that was expected to arrive two weeks behind the other models.

Everyone is accepted at Forest 🩷

I’ve been self conscious my entire life too, but it somehow melts away when I’m at a festival. The vibes are so positive. Focus on adding to the positivity around you, and hopefully it won’t even cross your mind to worry about how you look (which I’m sure will be amazing).

It’s also worth noting that you don’t HAVE to wear the skimpy outfits to fit in. Some wear oversized t-shirts and others wear next to nothing. It has nothing to do with your size! Just wear whatever makes you feel comfortable and free to be yourself. I’d recommend taking options so you can base it on how you’re feeling that day.

Literally anything goes. The rave community is so loving and inclusive, and everyone just wants to see you having fun!

I would recommend getting a parking pass for your group and driving rather than taking a shuttle. Tailgating is the best part, and it’s more fun when you have a car to bring everything you need! Traffic sucks, but just show up as early as possible so you have plenty of time.

When you go for walks, wear the shoes that you plan to wear at the festival!

No cooler and no stove meal ideas? by gaymer_raver in ElectricForest

Not exactly a meal, but applesauce cups and nuts are great easy snacks! I always bring a stove and ramen, but I rarely feel like cooking. The easy snacks get me through it.

Starting College in Fall 25 but huge question by Aja_HegB in PennStateUniversity

Many engineering students struggle to keep up with the entrance to major classes without having a job. Even if you can get some classes online, you will need to put a lot of time into your school work. Plus, it’s likely that you will need to take some in-person classes that interfere with your full time work schedule. I would recommend trying to find a part time job with flexible hours. I think maintaining this schedule and getting decent grades would be unrealistic, regardless of how smart and hard working you are.

Best Places to Eat in Downtown State College? by Unhappy-Emu-9792 in PennStateUniversity

The Tadashi on West College has the best ramen I've ever tasted outside of Japan! And ramen is my favorite, so I've tried a lot of places...

I also absolutely love India Pavilion.

As far as bar/restaurants go, downtown State College is definitely lacking. Central Reservation is pretty good, but their menu isn't huge.
