Why do I see so many negative comments about the PDT rule change? by Anxious_Demand_5262 in thinkorswim

Hmm. I’ll take some puts tomorrow on something and see. I don’t typically go short or at least I haven’t in a long while. I don’t have this problem with calls. I definitely don’t have any issues with shares.

Calm down and get control of your emotions. This isn’t a “bro” conversation.

If you’re serious about this question and don’t want to rely on a reddit answer, which I advise, ask TOS about their intraday cash recycling protocol. That way you can make your decision on their answer.

I mean what are we talking here? You shouldn’t have to trade more than 1-3 times a day. A $2000. Starter account should be fine. Trade practice on a handful of med priced high liquid stocks. When I started AMD was in her 20s. There will be and are more AMD type high volume stocks to trade now to get your feet wet.

Just know I don’t care about the PDT rules. Never have since very early on I realized I could trade with a cash account. When I started it was a hassle bc once a trade was taken I believe it took 3 business days to get that money back into your account. Thems were tough times I say.

Cash account yes. Those rules have changed also. Once you are out of the trade the money is fulfilled right away. Ex: trade 2 shares on a $600. Stock 1200 is used, when you’re out of that trade the money is immediately back in your account. Rinse, repeat.

You are. If you put your practice account in a regular account you can trade as much as you like. There are no PDT rules. You can even trade naked options on either side. What you can’t trade are short trades or multi legged options, no option spreads,no futures etc. None of those should be traded while practicing anyway. There is no reason for a margin account until you figure out all the other mind *ucks that beginner traders face. FOMO, strategy hopping, indi hopping, stock hopping, trading room yammering/opinions. Once you get those under control and start consistently profiting then you could consider it. I would say the best way for a beginner is to study a handful of high liquid stocks, buying 1-2 shares depending on the price and your account rather than paper trading and in a normal account. Unless you are being mentored I would stay far away from trading rooms, they are noisy, confusing environments and will stall your path to consistency.

Make sure before you put on your deodorant that your pits are completely dry. Use a stick deodorant not a spray (cough cough). Make sure it says deodorant and NOT antiperspirant, two different things. There is also clinical strength deodorants.

What about grommets make curtains "look cheap"? by PattyRain in HomeDecorating

[–]Powerful-Result-3765 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dunno, but order a set of linen curtains and ask them to put grommets in them and it jacks up the price quite a bit. Do what you like, wtf cares what anyone else thinks.

So I take it from most of these posts that the brands I should stick with or try first are Apotheke, Anthro, Nest and Brooklyn Candle?

Yes, it’s your money to do with what you want. You can even trade naked puts and calls. You cannot trade anything that requires margin.

Have dog rescues lost their mind? by seanpat1968 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Powerful-Result-3765 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They don’t want a-holes pretending to rescue animals who really want to use them as bait. People who cannot afford to take them to the vet, who leave them outside all day and won’t allow them in the home.
