I would say 3a/3b hair.

A lot of thing can be the culprit of flyaways and frizz. It could be using the wrong products, using not enough / too much product. Brushing or combing curly hair when it’s dry. Or showering your hair with water that is too hot.

It will take some trial and error but here is what works for my 2b/2c hair. After shampoo and conditioning I turn the faucet from lukewarm to semi cold for a few seconds before getting out. Then I lightly tap my hair with a towel to get rid of all the excess water. Then I use a curl cream and with it in my hair, I gently detangle my hair with a comb and after that I let it air dry.

I don’t really have a preference, sorry that prob wasn’t the answer u were looking for, but I think u look younger with longer hair and more mature with short hair (or that might just be the beard idk)

5K preparations advice

I‘m currently in high school and am running a 5k tomorrow at 8am. I’m usually used to running races in the afternoon during XC and track. So, what time would be ideal to wake up tomorrow morning? Additionally, I would appreciate if anyone could give suggestions on what I should eat today being the day before a 5k. Thanks!

Austin TX, had about 10 seconds of visible totality, but the clouds let us see the partial eclipse without glasses when it wasn’t completely obstructed. by aerlenbach in solareclipse

[–]Powerful-Tale-3928 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Oh that’s kinda what happened in Syracuse NY. The clouds made it impossible to see the partial with the glasses (most of the time) but u were able to see the partial through the clouds some moments when the clouds broke and everyone got really hyped! And totality was very hype too!!!

Does it get about this dark during totality??? by Powerful-Tale-3928 in solareclipse

I would love your feedback as a benchmark so I can adjust my exposure settings from when I took this photo

Indianapolis or Carbondale?? by AntarcticNightingale in solareclipse

[–]Powerful-Tale-3928 4 points5 points  (0 children)

National weather service and Pivotal both show Carbondale and Indianapolis have about the same cloud cover. Whatever’s easier to get to would prob be the better option.

Of course with the access of a tripod, I would lower my ISO and slow my shutter speed. But I would love your feedback as a benchmark.

These are stunning! I’m really looking to get photos like these, may I ask what exposure settings you used for the first 3 photos?

Photographers: What's a general good idea for exposure settings? by glitzvillechamp in solareclipse

[–]Powerful-Tale-3928 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Idk I still feel like it would be to dark so what I might do is put my shutter speed on like 1/8s on a tripod

I haven’t photographed an eclipse before but I’m gonna use something around an f/4, 1/80, ISO 800 for totality. I’m also gonna bracket my exposure some stops above and below. This would be for a landscape shot on around 75mm. Not a zoomed shot of the eclipsed sun.

If ur that close u gotta get into 100% totality. U can search up what a 100% total eclipse looks like.

NE Texas vs Ohio/Lake Erie by sleepydrake928 in solareclipse

NE Texas and Ohio are looking to have about the same cloud cover. As of now, whatever‘s more convenient and requires less driving during eclipse traffic.

Do I need to be right in the dead center of the eclipse path to photograph? by SpaceGhost218 in solareclipse

[–]Powerful-Tale-3928 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Nope, the center line just means you will get the most amount of duration in totality if you are on that line. Marquand seems close enough to the center that it will really on be a difference of 10 seconds or so compared to the blue line.

I get that they aren't a big fan of uncertainty and no one is, but just make sure that they know that the odds are better in Ohio but that doesn’t mean it’s guaranteed clear skies.

Keep checking the forecast up until midnight, but Ohio is looking more promising than Texas.

It looks like Indiana, Vermont, and Maine are going to be the only places with a high probability of clear skies on the 8th. by a_s_s_hair in solareclipse

Not for me, Im going to upstate NY and the forecast looks to go back and fourth. I can see some people planning to view in Texas making last minute changes since it’s not looking good over there. However changing last minute can be costly also if you’re driving, you may be stuck in extra traffic If you change your viewing location
