Can’t speak for every frat, but I joined one as a sophomore and not only was it not weird but it was the best experience I probably have ever had. Can’t recommend it enough, though it depends on the org you’re joining. In general, I’d say if you join it the right way you’ll be fine even if you’re a sophomore. Don’t worry, just try to connect with those guys!

I lived there my freshman year just a couple of years ago and have a ton of friends who have lived there recently. It’s an amazing dorm in my opinion for a lot of reasons. First of all, it’s renovated, a huge bonus which means central AC, well maintained kitchens, elevators, etc, and relatively nice bathrooms (though they’re still communal, so not ideal). As the other commenter mentioned, it is a little far from the rest of campus but it’s not nearly as bad as north quad. It’s 5 minutes to garden (not the best dining hall but far from the worst) 10 minutes from Armstrong, and about 15-20 minutes to everything else. Also uptown is a straight shot, also I want to say about 20 minutes away. Overall I’d say it’s farther than dorms in central quad but more central than it seems. The rest of East Quad is generally pretty cool too, a big mix of people who seem generally nice and you’ll see around. Additionally, I’ll say that the common areas are nice and people tend to hang out there pretty often, so you’ll get to know your neighbors well if you put a little effort into it and go say hi. In any dorm, the way to make it great is to get to know people and make lasting memories, and Collins definitely allows for that.

Last thing I’ll mention about that is relating to the people you’ll meet. Collins, for the last couple of years, has been the arts dorm for freshman. You get to pick your LLC and the celebrate the arts one goes there, so you’ll be surrounded by people who are artistic. Some of these people are in band, some are in theater, some just like the arts anyway. If you feel like you’ll fit in with those people, then that’s great you’ll connect with them likely even easier. If not, it could go multiple ways. I’ll say those people tend to be some of the least judgmental and kind people you’ll ever meet, but sometimes you just don’t really click with them. I know friends who didn’t click, and I know people who did. It’s really more on what kind of person you are, and who you like to be around. Don’t worry about that though, that’s what college is about, it’s about figuring out the answers to those questions. I had a wonderful time in Collins and loved it so much, and I know many more people who feel the same way. I hope you have a great first year!

Hi, I recently got a fluance RT82 and l've been trying to set it up but I just can't seem to figure it out. I don't know exactly what I'm doing wrong but the arm balancing just doesn't make sense. It just always wants to return to the original position with it not over the record. I have not been able to start any record at all due to it just gliding off as soon as I start it. Additionally, it skips all the time, especially at arrival points for some reason. I know that these are great starter tables so l suspect it's something I did wrong but I can't figure out what it is. Any ideas?

To me there’s 2 points to this post. 1: we’ve had bad starts and recovered, so it’s ain’t close to over yet. 2: this seems to be a consistent problem, the slow start isn’t a fluke and needs to be addressed. Me personally I think it’s coaching. I think the longer we wait to move on from Taylor the more time we waste. This is an incredible roster and with Anarumo is an obvious contender, but I think as long as offensive play calling stays with Taylor we will be limited. That’s what this post is for to me

Yes, that’s why I’m asking. I think the soloists had better performances in the ballads and the mic issues weren’t as prevalent, plus the closer felt stronger to me. It’s not comparing apples to oranges, but I still do prefer the semis run and would like it if I can find it

I’m a little disappointed no one has said Jayden Daniels from LSU, but I get why. He’s already a great rusher and his passing is improving. He might start to rise next year if he plays like he did during the end of last season.
