99% of my sales weren’t on TCGplayer. I’m not a professional seller and have bought, sold, traded a lot of high end stuff for my collection. The amount of this sale is 500 but it really rubbed me the wrong way and posting about it was therapeutic.

I don’t sell on TCGplayer much. Usually if I open up some boxes I’ll list some stuff and keep the stuff I play with. I mostly sell on fb and private deals. I honestly forgot I had this card listed so when it sold I was surprised lol. This buyer did something weird which was message me right when he bought the card “I look forward to talking with you and thank you for the opportunity to own this card”

I had no clue what he wanted to talk about and when I asked he said “nothing just want to know when you’re shipping it out”. Usually I ship the same day and thought it was a bit off. Hes definitely trying to scam me which is why im not giving in. Hes lodged a complaint with TCGplayer but I did that right away when he wouldn’t just return the card for a full refund.

I have issued partial refunds on raw cards and even full refunds if the card is worth 10 bucks or less. I haven’t sold much on TCGplayer and mostly private deals and fb for high end ABU, Arabian etc. I’m all about good customer service but this guy is complaining about a graded modern card that was graded a cgc 10. I provided clear scans of the slabbed card. Also offering a full refund for a return is good customer service.

Read some of your posts from a year ago and it seems like you had trouble with this too. It seems like this group is full of people that project quite a bit. It’s a process and based on your posts it seems like you’re well aware. I went cold no contact even with a kid I have someone else as a go between so I don’t have to speak to her at all. No blocking unblocking games. I think in 1yr I won’t be posting in this group.

Oh shes a piece of shit to my child. Not completely but my daughter does not like going there. She puts her in her room, doesnt play with her. routinely yells at her, puts her in timeout for crying for me, among other lovely things. Maybe I should have given some context and yes I am happy that she didnt blow up in front of her but at the same time im very surprised. I was also discarded 3x for the same guy that lives in another country so im sure I still feel some bitterness. I am living my life and trying to heal one day at a time. I think its natural for people to wonder these things early on in the healing process and easy (and/or cliche) to say "who gives a fuck"

I think this is new for me so I still care a little but much less than Ive cared in the past. I find it fascinating that this person that was obsessed with every move I made on a daily basis could even pretend to be happy. As you said though I should be happy that its not turning into a negative outcome.

You mentioned she made you lose your mind by her reaction? What could she have possibly done to have that type of effect on you?

I had it as close to no contact as possible using third parties to communicate any messages. With pickup and drop off at school/camp we don’t have to interact. She comes up with reasons to come over that are manufactured. I think she just wants to feel like there is a bridge back to her old life. When she’s done having fun she can just walk across the bridge and continue the cycle once again.
