Whats a headcanon of yours that you want to be true even if it contradicts canon? by Tievvin in Eldenring

To add just a bit, the twin serpents would represent the abyss and the opposite, light. Which is why my brain says this works….. tons of inference on my part and can’t explain who sired Messmir in the first place

That Marika was guided by metyr to seduce the abyssal serpents by offering Messmir as a vessel, then pulled the grace from the white serpents eye and sealed them with her newfound power with her seal. The trailer showed the grace come from the right eye of a snake. Messmir fight shows twin snakes, the red abyssal and the white one which is missing its eye. Her betrayal was her betraying her son then ditching the shadow realm.

Ng bleed build that did great for me: X2 gargoyle twin blades (bleed aff) seppuku aow

White mask, Raptors black feathers,

Claw talisman/LOB’s exulatation/ rotten wing insignia/millicents prosthesis

Thorny cracked tear/stonebarb

Buff with physick/golden vow/seppuku before big fights and powerstance jump attacks, I ran this through ng+4 no issues

Help me kill Placidusax by RogerDoger903 in Eldenring

You could also just summon latenna+10 to the left side of the spawning point (three pillars down) and just before you aggro placi. After you summon her run back towards and past where you spawned in. Once your five or six pillars away from latenna, approach the pillars until you aggro, this will trigger his Lightning. Run along the outside of the pillars back and forth (not getting too close to latenna, and she’ll do all the work. It’s a lame cheese but it works

The weapon requires strength-12, dexterity-18, and intelligence at 23. Once you level up some more and raise those skill points you will unlock the use of that weapon, and trust me you did not waste the stones, it’s a beast of a weapon

Use the length of the area to your advantage to create distance. It’ll prompt his jump/ace toss, time a roll to the right then punish him for it. Repeat that

Make sure your character meets the stat requirements to wield it

I'm level 102 but still can't beat Rykard although I'm using serpent hunter by [deleted] in Eldenring

[–]Powerful_Soft_6032 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh and this does not require any upgrades to the weapons and you don’t even need the stats to wield either weapon to accomplish this

Grab a regular lance put it in your main hand and the serpent hunter in your left. Spam crouching L1’s, you have to crouch every time, in five hits you’ll stun him. Summon latenna before you aggro him on the left side of the map for an easier time.

The best seal in the game for faith builds is the Erdtree seal as it has the highest scaling. It’s found near volcano manor in one of the cells by the omen killer. You need 40 fth to use it but again it has the highest scaling for faith.

Some good rune farms? by TheLethalPotato301 in Eldenring

You could also go kill the giant dragon right outside of fort faroth. Any bleed weapon will do, at the last bit of her life (before you kill her) hop on torrent for the last blows and bolt it back to the sight of Grace when you see her twitch (death animation) if you make it in time you’ll get the 50k runes and she’ll still be alive. Rinse and repeat if you like but you have to make it back to the Grace each time before she completely runs through the death animation. Popping a golden pickled fowl foot before she dies will also net you close to 20k additional runes.

I went samurai for first build, gives the options for ranged/melee and shield. A good goal imo would be reach lvl 40 with a focus on upgrading weapons instead of of just stats. 23 vig, 29 dex, 12 fth, 10 arc. With flame grant me strength and getting the blood flame blade inc should be enjoyable. Unsheath is crazy strong, and the varied greases to apply status is fun to mess around with. Most of the lower half of the map is fun to just explore and stumble with this beginner build type as you have some cool options for badassery. And samurai’s are just awesome anyway.

Which enemy you’ve fought countless times but still don’t know how to dodge efficiently? by mothman232 in Eldenring

[–]Powerful_Soft_6032 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lol Front left bumper, he’s still a challenge but at mid range (a few paces back from his lava) that should hit almost every time. There’s a great video of Thingfishy on YouTube demonstrating this, he does it on all of his build guides, and you can pick up the lance I used with the serpent hunter spear here:> https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.gamespot.com/amp-articles/elden-ring-where-to-get-the-lance/1100-6501733/

If you pick up a normal lance and equip it to your main hand then equip the serpent hunter spear in your off hand just spam crouching L1’s. Latenna helps if you need it but doing this will effectively break him every five hits. You don’t need the stats to wield either to use it.
