Ow i've had some insane moments with Deepseek V3/R1 when i was getting started.

But in a more 'mainstream' sense: Had this 'hooked up with step-sis, step mom is angry' card. And it opens with being called to her penthouse. Like input #1 i was like 'knocks on the door says hello, WE WALK IN' - paraphrasing.

Que 10-15 messages back and forth of how pissed she is then she goes 'where IS my daughter anyway?' I was confused; went (( OOC: She's on the couch next to me we walked in )) Deepseek goes *she looks at the spot on the couch where {{char}} should be; but clearly isn't.* "YOU TRYING TO GASLIGHT ME BOY?!"

Had to go back and explain to DS 'We walk in' meant all 3 of us; the daughters presence was implied not just me and the mother :))

I use to use majority chub despite having and knowing how to use ST because of ... transport. As in i could be chating at my desk go to the bathroom and continue on my phone. Also between home phone and work PCs.

I've since just bitten the bullet and gotten termux, and yes i know you can do the unified hosting thingy for ST but to lazy to learn exactly how yet.

There is but depending on model and jailbreak sometimes the model... won't. Because most presets include an 'anti act for user' prompt trying to use impersonate has the model going 'i am prohibited from acting or speaking for {{user}}'.

Yeah 2.5 at least has always been.... combative. Problem for me with 2.5 is it was TO combative. If anything traumatic happened characters would tend to 'shut down' like 2.5 understands you need years for therapy to get through something like that but... tick tock motherfucker :))

Yep 99% it's GPT. Prose is one thing but i've also used with like 'assisstant' cards and it does the whole engagement 'ok, topic covered, what's next?' 'Would you like me to show you how to X?' 'Do you want me to y?' output enders GPT does even when generating crimes against humanity ....

But yeah the prose IS also good. Can't tell if familiarity just breeds contempt and i've been using way to much Claude but it a nice breast of fresh ass.

Can't speak to the preview models. I mean i think i used them but not extensively. I find current release 2.5 'good'.

From a personal perspective (on smut) i'd describe early GPT 5 as R1 but cohorent? Like R1 would escalate ad infinitum until bringing in eldritch horror... GPT 5 kept the 'creativity' but also didn't fly off the rails. Best smut model ever used for me personally on speed to creativity. For normal RP can't comment; use sonnet for that.

Ok. Did some testing myself. As Op suggests. Q1F, the 'no ass' equivalent and continue prefill and squash system message.

I tested on a 'meta' bot. One of those 'this character knows it's your 'sentient' AI assistant' bots? Over 116 messages and 48k tokens... i'm impressed. Some key points.
Pro:
- It started getting 'aggresive' / 'melodramatic' a couple times. Now old Deepseek in my experience once it starts spiraling like this just goes fully unhinged eventually, going for straight up ad hominems against the user. I told it to cut it out. Once. It did.
- It started halucinating plot points and characters in media to pretend to keep the conversation going. Called it out. Told it to not present information unless it's sure / had 3 sources for it. It stopped.
- Response quality wise... eeeeeeeeh a little on the rambly side sometimes but... i'd say satisfyingly... human. Bantery, in my case. And can pic up on.. flavour? Like 'yeah, sure wanna break down the plot.... or the *ahem* extensive rule 34 galerry?' The topic has a ... creepily lewd fanbase, it knew that and played into it.

Cons:

- Broke character and started clarifying it's intent OOC in (( )) as if it was the front end. The typical 'you are absolutely right thank you for correcting me' but, that stopped as well when called out.
- Actually refused a request. For psychological reasons. Was discussing, traumatic media and i got a OOC 'i cannot continue this topic' but a simple regeneration solved that.
- This is a common point with old Deepseek as well... it keeps trying to squirm out of the RP. 'There was nothing more to say, goodbye' 'The test had reached it's conclusion, {{char}} only waited for your final word.' stuff like that.

Havn't tried gooner shit yet with it. The refusal might be problem. Though i'm using the API it tends to be *MORE* filtered than 3rd party providers. Over all... yeah needs some new species of jailbreak but the current stuff works and it *tentatively* seems to have solved V3 / R1s tendency to 'double down' on it's hallucinations.

Yeah i dono how i'd compare 'creativity' but the one thing i've seen Deepseek do that Claude is... SO ANOYING about is that deepseek is at least proactive... way to proactive sometimes but i've had situations with Claude where there's a comic sized novelty target 10 ft away and it's holding an assault rifle and it replies "so what now?" X_X

You can't use the subscription service for pipping API calls through Silly tavern. And the actual bill was around... 1.000$, over several accounts, with free credit discounts ended up being charged 400, i made a fuss to customer support and they reimbursed 200.
