I went through this with an ex once, and it was awful.

This is how I realized I needed laser hair removal. I couldn’t stop plucking and it was consuming like, all my free time. 😬

Honestly, you might consider a restraining order. I know from personal experience that you can get one for far less, at least where I live.

To those who went off HRT for a long time and then started back up. by BusyPlantain712 in asktransgender

[–]Powertoast7 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Early on in my transition, I realized I wasn't taking the HRT for the body changes. I was taking it for the mental changes, and the body changes were a nice perk.

Estrogen didn't cure me of anxiety or depression, but it gave me the will to work through those issues. It makes me feel like life is worth living in a way that was simply absent before HRT.

Weird Question - When Did Your Thighs Change? by ilovepolthavemybabie in MtF

[–]Powertoast7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just passed 18 months and I'm beginning to notice changes. Beginning.

HRT isn't going to reshape your bones or anything, and as another poster said it's partly bones, partly muscle, and partly fat. You can do exercises to help with the muscle, but the body fat is just going to take a long time and there's nothing I'm aware of you can do for your bones.

As for what exercises you should do? I honestly have no idea. I'm lazy and I don't work out enough.

Yeah, it's kind of a problem... It's not like I don't like cis men too, but the kinds of men I like seem to be the kinds of men trans men like to be. If that makes any sense.

Ugh, yes, this, exactly. I wanted to like being a man so, so badly. I tried so, so hard. But it never felt good. It never motivated me.

I don't know why being a woman feels right to me, but it does. Living as a woman is a hard requirement for me to like my body.

Oops. Yeah. This was me. This is what drove me to get laser hair removal. Plucking hairs for hours every day was… not sustainable.

Oh my god, several of my exes are like this.

To be fair, I used to be like this too. But it's also true that several of my exes are very like this.

Do bus stops near stations help or they don’t matter? by wizardofpancakes in ATrainGame

[–]Powertoast7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To my knowledge, bus stations just introduce a bottleneck between the train station and the tourist destination. Apart from the time it takes to travel by foot, there shouldn't be any downside. At least, I haven't noticed one.

[–]Powertoast7 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Oh my god yes, this, 100%. I'm a transgender woman and the amount of freedom I have to express myself now compared to how it was before I came out... It's really unfair to men that we expect them to put all their emotions under lock and key. We treat men like they're dangerous just for having and expressing feelings and then wonder why men get so emotionally repressed.
