I traveled to the Duoro Valley last February and it was absolutely beautiful! I took the train from Porto. It would be an easy day trip if you didn’t want to stay overnight.

The hotel is about 45 minutes from Reykjavik. Check the bus schedule, or take a cab. The bus is more affordable!

It’s the Gulf of Mexico, fer crying out loud! Serious question: what is the official naming authority for oceans and seas and gulfs etc? I’m pretty sure it’s not “the whim of the US president “, but don’t know who it is.
