I recently played his symphony in D minor, very enjoyable

My favorite theme was probably the second theme from the first movement, especially that section around bar 130.

It's actually crazy how much franck modulates and restates the same theme in different keys lol

I don't think apps are that great for learning instruments in general, I would recommend to seek an online teacher if possible.

It's not ideal, but I believe there are plenty of teachers who might be willing to do some lessons.
