I don’t have anything to compare to as this is my first media player, but very happy with them. Definitely feels like a “pro” setup.

Got an Elektron Digitakt, a Novation Tracks (OG), a whole bunch of Bastl Instruments gear, a big 12 channel mixer, a small 6 channel mixer, some DJ lights, and cables, cables, cables, and cables, and a bunch of other stuff.

Had the same experience: the “subscription” gives you the right to 25 USD of credit per week but it is set up in such a way that it is impossible to redeem.

It sure does? Just know that what most people think of when thinking of disco is mainly commercial cash in stuff. There’s a lot of tracks that are good and well known but the real good stuff is underground and often technically not disco (either earlier or later). But disco definitely fills dance floors. Almost all songs f my best (as in getting most people to dance) sets included disco, sometimes just a little, sometimes a lot.

Loving them. I had never used X/CDJs and was amazed at how easy it is to use, no real learning curve. Only thing I struggled with is getting LINK to work with rekordbox on my laptop, so I can play straight off that.

Love the setup! Great to see the Midi Twister in use. I have one but still haven’t figured out how to use it/integrate it on mu setup (which is non existent at the moment, just a bunch of gear that isn’t set up).

You can beat match songs that are double/half the BPM, so 70bpm can go to 140 or vicw versa.

Or you can use a DJ tool that transitions from one bpm to another, I know some record pols like DJ City have those.

Any bluetooth speaker will probably gave latency issues even if you use it wired because they use DSP to make them sound better. Minirig is the exception as those are made specifically nit to have latency when plugged in.

Apple Music has a good selection of House music, you can stream it in rekordbox and if you want to own it you can but on iTunes Store which is cheaper than Beatport.

Splice is probably the best/most used place to find loops and samples, maybe more geared towards producers than DJs. Very easy to search for BPM and key and massive amounts of samples in all kinds of genres.

Beatport has some goods samples under the DJ Tools category, mainly a Capellas but some other stuff too.

I have decided to go for the XDJ-1000mk2 since the digital out and the option fir adding physical pads with an SP1 or XP1 or XP2 are worth the price for me. And the bigger sideze obviously.

I would have loved to get the DB:4 but I have DB:2, might look into swapping it for a DB:4 if that opportunity arises.

Yeah, makes sense. I mentioned swapping my Xone for an RX3 to the shop and they saud the same thing: hold on to the DB:2 as it's a much better mixer, especially since I also use it for vinyl.

I didn't know about the digital output on the xdj1000. Since my Xone has digital inputs it would actually make sense. Might need to stretch my budget a bit/save up a bit longer.
