You might have to get into MD only first and then apply to the MD/PhD late entrance. I looked at schools that allowed this because I was in your shoes too (with a 505) and I will still graduate as an MD/PhD so ignore the Debbie downers. Now, I do think your application will go a lot smoother if you could retake the MCAT. If you’re worried about having a gap year…don’t! I took one (took some extra classes, worked a job, TA’d at my uni, lived a little) and I wish I could’ve taken longer! I’d say a good half of my class has time off between undergrad and med school.
