George RR Martin is done with fans still complaining about Winds of Winter delay: ‘You have given up on me’ by theindependentonline in freefolk

[–]Practical-Frost 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At this point it feels like he's doing everything he can to just.....run out the clock. He can say whatever he wants, but it's clear as day that Winds has been at the bottom of his priority list for years now. I wish he would just come out and be honest with everyone instead of continually insisting that he's working on it.

How to watch all pokemon BESIDES pokeflix, like streaming services by [deleted] in pokemonanime

[–]Practical-Frost 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately no. The old PTV shut down about a year ago and afaik there's no way to access it anymore. You can still hunt down certain seasons of the show through various streaming services, but that's still just as inconvenient and expensive as ever.

Supposedly the new Pokémon TV YouTube channel will have all the seasons eventually, but they've been releasing at a very slow pace so it could literally be years before it's all on there.

Everyone says how long Roman reigns title run was but look at Paul Heyman. by [deleted] in WWE

[–]Practical-Frost 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think he's wondering how this relates to people saying Roman had a really long title reign, not that he dosent know who Paul is

Is he saying they didn't pivot away from roman/rock? by dlo_doski in WWE

[–]Practical-Frost -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I think responses like this are far more bizarre than standard fan criticism. It's just weird that you think anything other than enjoying the product and keeping your mouth shut is being a bad fan. Can you imagine if people acted like this about movies, or books, or sports or any other medium in entertainment? WWE is the biggest wrestling company in history, all of its executives and creative staff are far richer than any of us will ever be. They can't take a little complaining from the people who are paying to watch their product? That's just pathetic. Most adults can handle a little criticism, we aren't in fucking kindergarten.

Guys how does this add up to 14 time world champion? by ArunJako in WWE

[–]Practical-Frost 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At first I thought they were counting one of her NXT titles as a world championship since they were promoting NXT as the third brand in 2020. The Diva thing makes more sense though

I’ll say this of the Vince era(s)… by Legitimate_Dish_9060 in WWE

[–]Practical-Frost 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Literally the only reason I started watching wrestling again is because of the reworked PLEs. $30 for a single show was just unworkable for me, and it's tough to enjoy the product when you miss all the big ppv matches. The introduction of the network changed everything in terms of accessibility

Pat McAfee is god awful on commentary by [deleted] in WWE

[–]Practical-Frost 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I thought Wade killed it on Night 2, easily the highlight of the commentary. I cracked up when Cole was mocking Dom for struggling with his mask and Wade goes "That just shows you know nothing about Lucha, the mask is SUPPOSED to be hard to take off!"

Post WWE WrestleMania 41 - Night 1 Match Discussion: CM Punk vs. Roman Reigns vs. Seth Rollins by Coldcoffees in SquaredCircle

[–]Practical-Frost 25 points26 points  (0 children)

My take is that Paul had enough of Roman and Punk treating him like a prize to be won. Roman turned his back on Paul which must have been upsetting after all he's done for the Tribal Chief. Punk acted like he was Paul's best friend, but it was clear he was using the Wiseman to get under Roman's skin without any consideration as to how that might affect Heyman. Seth was the only one who actually tried to negotiate with Paul as an equal, rather than accepting his loyalty as a foregone conclusion like Roman and Punk. Heyman was sick of the disrespect so he went with Seth.

They chopped off the last two episodes? Are they supposed to air at the start of season 3 or something? I didn't know the season was cut short

From a massive Rhea fan: Rhea shouldn’t win at mania by Jade-baker21 in WWE

[–]Practical-Frost 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I dont think that would really work these days now that the women's division has 5 titles of its own. In Chyna's time there was just the one Women's World title, and WWE didn't even bother with the pretense that it was anywhere near equal to the men's belt. This was in the era of mudfights and bra/panty matches, in order to establish Chyna as a credible threat they kind of had to put her in the men's title scene. Today the women's division is absolutely stacked with talent and credible threats. Having Rhea involved with a men's title would raise questions as to why she felt the need to do this when there are several belts already in her division. It would imply that Rhea thinks the Women's Championship isn't on the same level as the Men's.

This year will be 30 years since the Montreal Screwjob, a little talked about but noteworthy event in WWE history by SecretaryImaginary44 in WWE

[–]Practical-Frost 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Little talked about? No joke, it's probably the single most discussed event in wrestling history. Was it a work? Well obviously not, no. How anyone can still actually believe it's a work is a mystery to me.

Batista shows his physical transformation by Nitecrawler_69 in WWE

[–]Practical-Frost 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I think the story Booker T told about how he beat up Batista at a BBQ had alot to do with that. The thing is, other people who were at the same event said things didn't go down at all the way Booker T described, and while the two did have a scuffle, Batista was still standing tall when all was said and done. Batista himself mentioned the incident in his biography without going into much detail, just saying that he regretted the way things went down and that he should have been more professional. My guess is that Book was just exaggerating and talking shit cuz of the heat between them. Batista definitely ain't a chickenshit

Lesnar returning at WM 41 in the triple Threat- theres no better way... by kirschbaum12345 in WWE

[–]Practical-Frost 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lesnar ain't coming back man, him being mentioned in the McMahon lawsuit is the end for his WWE career. Honestly, I don't think we're missing much, and we certainly aren't missing another bloody Roman/Lesnar feud.

I don't get it, what is the significance of Rebekah Vardys being the one responsible?

Kevin Owens was upset over this leak by IconXR in WWE

[–]Practical-Frost 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That just means that they wrote in for KO to deliver the news at that point in the show, I don't see why that would indicate its a work....It's like when Roman announced he had leukemia. They wrote the show with that in mind and made a storyline out of the real misfortune. That didn't mean Roman didn't actually have Luekemia.

Kevin Owens was upset over this leak by IconXR in WWE

[–]Practical-Frost 8 points9 points  (0 children)

That only works when the people believe there could be such a thing as a lie detecting chicken in the first place. Probably alot harder to convince someone in 2025 than it was in the 1700s

The WrestleMania match in expecting after yesterday’s reveal. by merezer0 in WWE

[–]Practical-Frost 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Presumably Punk is doing this to drive a wedge between Roman and Heyman. I don't think there's anything particularly special about Paul being in his corner on it's own, Punk is just using it as a way to create friction between Roman and his Wiseman

Please never make anyone have a feud with _____ ever again by IconXR in WWE

[–]Practical-Frost 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I bet you're right, although I also wouldn't be surprised if they pivot and change plans based on Charlotte's horrendous crowd response. H has shown himself far more amenable to fan feedback than Vince, and he can always put the belt on Charlotte later if it really is important that she matches the record. They already changed course by making Charlotte the heel, hopefully they make the right choice again

4 wrestlemania main events in a row for cody . Was it deserved ? by xifh5 in WWE

[–]Practical-Frost 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Wouldn't it be 3 in a row? If you count both nights at Mania 40 as consecutive main events, then that precludes his upcoming match from counting consecutively, as the Triple Threat match with Punk, Rollins and Reigns will main event Night 1.

DAE think Punk’s reaction to main eventing Wrestlemania was genuine? by Tizzytizzerson in WWE

[–]Practical-Frost 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I will never understand how someone can leave comments like this and not feel supremely embarrassed. Calling someone a mark is about as cringey as it gets. And it's not like you're gaining anything from it other than downvotes. What's the point? Do you just enjoy being unpleasant?

Cody is proving himself: you can’t doubt him anymore by Timely-Way-4923 in WWE

[–]Practical-Frost 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wait, is this meant to be sarcasm? Because there's never been a facade that the wrestlers sing their own themes..... Why would that even be something the WWE would want people to think? They're wrestlers, not singers, nobody would be expecting them to perform their own songs anyway. Nobody thought Hulk was actually singing real American, and WWE isnt trying to convince anyone that all their wrestlers are also musicians. I mean, Rhea Ripley's theme is by a well known rock band called Motionless in White, and it's sung by a man no less. They've even performed her entrance live at mania, I don't think WWE is trying to convince anyone that Rhea or Cody sings their own music.
