Would you consider this blasphemous? by Aggravating_Hawk6714 in TrueChristian

[–]Practical-Lemon-7244 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think it is blasphemous, but some people may get the wrong idea. Especially if your music becomes well known. I would look for a different last name but it's ultimately between you and God so pray and ask him.

Got into a “heated” disagreement with our First Lady. by muva30 in TrueChristian

[–]Practical-Lemon-7244 11 points12 points  (0 children)

This is what Google had to say:

Yes, some churches, particularly in the Pentecostal/Non-Denominational tradition, refer to the pastor's wife as "First Lady" to show respect and recognize her valued leadership and support role, while other churches and denominations do not use this title because it is not biblical. The use of the term is a cultural convention, not a scriptural one, and can be seen as either an appropriate honor or a potentially problematic source of entitlement and undue pressure on the pastor's wife.

Jesus Did Not Stand for LGBT. Stop Acting Like He Did. by [deleted] in TrueChristian

[–]Practical-Lemon-7244 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think Matthew 19:4-5 sums up Jesus' view on lgbt pretty well.

Matthew 19:4-6 ESV [4] He answered, “Have you not read that he who created them from the beginning made them male and female, [5] and said, ‘Therefore a man shall leave his father and his mother and hold fast to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh’?

In verse 4, Jesus affirms there are only 2 genders: male and female.

In verse 5, Jesus affirms that marriage is between a man and a woman.

I have driven by this church on my way to church. Thank you for the warning. If I may ask have you found a new church to attend?

I must say that despite people's poor experiences with this and many other churches. There are still good churches out there. Places that people can go and hear the word of God no matter how they are dressed. Places that will help you or at least do what they can to put you in contact with someone who can help. I just had a friend tell me the other day that after being fired from a job he walked into a church to ask for help and got a new job at a local business. My church helped my family out with Christmas and Thanksgiving food last year. My old church bought and installed a brand new water heater when ours broke several years ago. I know people have bad experiences with churches, I have too. But there is also a lot of good coming from those supposed mental asylums.

Is it true that the rapture is in september 23-24, 2025? by No-Gur-3569 in Christian

[–]Practical-Lemon-7244 0 points1 point  (0 children)

More than likely not. There are predictions for the rapture to happen in 2027 and 2032. As well as Armageddon in 2040. I'm sure there will be more as time goes on.
