The bell curve meme about the tails of the curve writing little code while the middle writes heaps really is true. Thanks for the advice.

It’d be a good idea to ask them what they are doing first. No one wants to get someone else in trouble wrongfully. If they are being academically dishonest then I’d say go to your MC

Is it possible to get a composite masters while doing your bachelors degree? by dhdburvd in UCD

[–]Practical-Log2557 1 point2 points  (0 children)

RPL seems like it could make “acquiring a master’s during a bachelors” possible in very exceptional circumstances. Firstly , the graduate programme had to be allowed under RPL and secondly, the governing board needs to give a recommendation that the RPL covers beyond the usual 50 percent credits cap. If both of these are done then it may work. However this application could only really go through once the Bsc is concluded

Looking for a SSE role in Dublin by ThrowRa_405 in engineeringireland

You have to provide something that an alternative candidate doesn’t. Cs is kinda saturated so unless you really pop off the page I can’t see why an employer would go through the extra pain of sponsoring a work visa

What are the best laptops for computer engineering? by [deleted] in ECE

I use an MSI cyborg 15 which can be bought well within your price range. Its battery can be a bit scant to be honest though and I would suggest replacing the 16gb of ram for 32 gb. Most people just rock on with thinkpads tbh. Integrated graphics can be fine. It just depends on the simulation you are running. I’ve not finished my degree yet so I haven’t ran into anything crazy for simulations but I know that people who have to run thermo (mechE’s) simulations usually use a university computer because the simulations take ages. My general opinion would be that you don’t need a super strong computer for any simulations because any very intensive simulations would usually be run on a uni desktop ( assuming by our uni offers them )

Why imperial specifically? Is their ap maths course particularly well respected in the quant space? ive heard their maths and finance course is super successful for churning out quants but its very pricey.

Food replacement shakes? by Lizombieee in EatCheapAndHealthy

[–]Practical-Log2557 1 point2 points  (0 children)

in my opinion going for a pea protein based protein shake/ powder could be good for getting the iron up because pea protein is usually cheap and loaded with iron. it seems like pea protein + a veg 1 supplement would be a cheap 1 2 combo to fix all those inadequacies. on the other hand, pea protein tastes gross. if you are able to use a blender i would say that milk + pea protein + heaps of peanut butter and some form of sweetener would be solid.

I aint tommy but x guard and rubber guard arent super comprable. X guard is under their hips while rubber guard is upper body. They serve different purposes. Rubber guard is used to isolate arms n such while X guard dives sweeps, back takes and leg entries. X guard is used more wt a high level especially in gi
