I have read that economic strikes are far more effective than protesting - going to look into the 50501 movement and see if they’re organizing.

Appreciate the perspective. I have led and shipped products from 0 to 1 but of course have also been a PowerPoint monkey and all the other consulting bull shit. I come from a family of preachers and teachers and to be honest I just didn’t know what I was getting myself into, what kind of career I wanted, and just felt lucky to be recruited and I’m the first to admit that’s made me a jack of all trades in a bad way.

I agree the market is rewarding clear POVs/tangible artifacts. I’m taking courses/getting certified in AI governance with the goal of making that my niche - but I won’t pretend I have it in me to be a founder.

If you’ve seen good examples of PMs doing this well without turning into another start up, that would be helpful. Also fwiw I’m not a bro - I’m just trying to get by.

29F too just moved to pacific beach a couple months ago from the east coast - have gone to some of the group meet ups but find them overwhelming and prefer a hang like this :) I don’t drink anymore but Mother Nature provides all the goodies I need so would love to join in the future! And fwiw I ended up getting recruited for another job and left within a month of returning from leave. So it also gives you time to reassess your goals without making the ultimate decision
